I don't even fuck with search engines anymore.

I just add some meta tags and keywords and then link to them off my other pages.

Google ends up spidering them automatically and I end up with a nice bit of traffic from google and yahoo and a few other search engines.

I have a few yahoo listings and for traffic from yahoo these days they are worthless... they made me a mint back in the day though ;)

From my experience, Yahoo traffic is crap.

yahoo traffic is a joke.. they use googles results so if you get listed in google you get listed in yahoo.. stick with google and your good to go.

but yes back in the day yahoo was the shinitz.. I made some nice bank off of them :)

A total waste of $600 beans

Getting a paid listing on Yahoo isn't economical.

You will be lucky to see 20-50 hits a day from that listing

Just thought I should point out - it is heavily rumoured that one of the main reasons why Overture bumped the min bid to $0.10 is because Yahoo is planning to implement Overture results in place of Google results and Yahoo wanted a bigger share of the returns in order to do so.

Of course, Overture jumped at the opportunity. So dont be surprised if that Yahoo traffic from Google listings reduces or disappears soon.

Yahoo traffic was a goldmine a couple of years ago

a couple years ago paying that much might have been a good idea. However since the change and most of their directory not being listed in the search queries, it's pretty fuckin useless. I hope the PR boost will be good

the only way to get good results in yahoo is

1. be the editors pick listings that come up at the top of each category
2. be in a new category or one that isn't overcrowded with many listings.

Been on Yahoo for a while (though Google listing). Big fucking deal. Always < #30 for free porn, but it's never more than a few hundred uniques a day. Big deal. It sure as shit wasn't worth $600.
