Its not us. Its our government.
This phrase was said by a 14 year old boy from bagdhad in reference to the US/UN embargo punishing the nation of Iraq instead of the government of Iraq. Incidentally, the US/UN embargo has killed 500,000 Iraqis, most of them children.
For everyone anti-USA or UK on this board, I think it is important to keep in mind that there are HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS of American and British Citizens who are opposed to the war in Iraq. Even in a "democracy" (which the USA hardly is, anyway), up to 50% of the people's wants, desires and wishes are completely disregarded. Do not judge US on what our government does. |

the usa only has like 300 million people. and recent polls show upwards of 70% support it. Its just that the other 30% is the most vocal.

Actually it's our military industrial complex. If you've ever done Defense work, the cycle is obvious.

For the zillionth time, wake up and face reality. The world is controlled by wealthy individuals, families, dictators, and multinational corporations.
So what else is new? You think anyone's election votes really count or mean anything? Trust me the kabols got both sides of the fence covered. The rich get richer, and the poor get fucked over and that's just the way of the jungle. Hahaha just saw this pic on there. http://www.hereinreality.com/news/partying.jpg PresidentialFamilyCatfightVideos.com ? :1orglaugh http://www.hereinreality.com/news/kidsgonewild.jpg |

Get your facts right. I totally respect you point of view. You are free to express it, defended by the blood and tradition of culture. I would hope that Iraqis will one day have the same right to express their thoughts without fear of death by its own government. Peace at all cost is always too expensive. |
I just heard Bush claim the alliancem now is more than in the Gulf War now as far as allies with us.
Its just all the focus is going to those who oppose it. thats what was said in the latest briefing anyhow. |
Found this in looking it up more info on my previous post:
Allied forces in first Gulf War: 'The Allied coalition consisted of 34 countries, including Afghanistan, Argentina, Australia, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Canada, Czechoslovakia, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Honduras, Italy, Kuwait, Morocco, The Netherlands, Niger, Norway, Oman, Pakistan, Poland, Portugal, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, South Korea, Spain, Syria, Turkey, The United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the United States.' http://www.cnn.com/SPECIALS/2001/gul...facts/gulfwar/ according here: 49 http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,82312,00.html |

You take a 14 year old Iraqi kids "information" as fact? You want facts? Read up: http://gofuckyourself.com/showthread...s+ about+Iraq I posted plenty of facts. Directly from the official UN website. Read up. Interesting stuff. See who's really behind those deaths. You guys amaze me. You think the UN would let these people starve for 10 years? The UN Humanitarian Committee is already extremely concerned now, after only 8 days. |
Rgardless of whether or not you agree with the decision to go to war, our people are there. We need to support our people over there and do our part to ensure their quick and safe return.
I saw a picture of an Iraqi soldier receiving medical treatment from one our guys on the cover of an Atlanta news paper today. And I saw this from the AP- " Defense officials who have viewed the tape have said privately that several of the bodies had execution-style gunshot wounds to their heads. " That just pisses me off- Get it done and come back home |
