Best Country to Live in Besides the US?
What's your opinion and why?
thanks.... |
Canada, not because I live here, just because it's a fact. I would never live in the U.S.
|
Canada is pretty cool. Public healthcare, moderately less violence, that kind of thing.. it adds up, especially when you have kids.
|
Is there anywhere in Canada that is warm in the summer though?
ie 80s-90s F... I personally love Vancouver but the woman thinks it'd be toooooooo cold there for her... |
Australia.
We live in Paradise... and we don't share borders with any other nation. |
Syria.....with all of the wonderful people who warmly embrace western culture and the Miami like night life.

I think it becomes obvious without words :) |
Iraq. Where else?
|
Austrailia for me now, but would like to retire to a peaceful, tourist free, Greek island.

Another testimony this is the best place: I AM CANADIAN (clears Thoat) (the canadian one is actually a commercial and is all true!) Hey... I'm not a lumberjack, or a fur trader... and I don't live in an igloo, or eat blubber, or own a dogsled... and I don't know Jimmy, Sally or Suzy from Canada, although I'm certain they're really, really nice. I have a Prime Minister, not a President. I speak English & French, NOT American. and I pronounce it 'ABOUT', NOT 'A BOOT'. I can proudly sew my country's flag on my backpack. I believe in peace keeping, NOT policing. DIVERSITY, NOT assimilation, AND THAT THE BEAVER IS A TRULY PROUD AND NOBLE ANIMAL. A TOQUE IS A HAT, A CHESTERFIELD IS A COUCH, AND IT IS PRONOUNCED 'ZED' NOT 'ZEE', 'ZED'!!! CANADA IS THE SECOND LARGEST LANDMASS! THE FIRST NATION OF HOCKEY! AND THE BEST PART OF NORTH AMERICA! MY NAME IS JOE!! AND I AM CANADIAN!!!!!!!! :Graucho |
THE FIRST NATION OF HOCKEY!
---------------------------------------------- It is tragic that some of the great Canadian Hockey Clubs are struggling financially....speaking inparticular of Ottawa....best team in the league points wise. It would be great to see a Canadian Team go to the cup this year......they will no doubt get torn apart by the Red Wings but hey getting to the dance is whats important. |
Canada if you like cold snowy winters, hot ass summers with wicked mosquitoes, drinking beers and hockey!! I wouldn't trade it for anything:glugglug

:thumbsup :thumbsup I love a good winter, but the woman is a fan of the 80-90 degree heat as much of the year as possible...I show her something like this and she's like HELL NO... http://www.weather.com/outlook/trave...nthly/CAXX0518 ^^^ averages for temperature in Vancouver, shows never above 80F.... what's another good city to lookup for average temperatures up there in BC? |
as far as places in Canada go...Nova Scotia is great too....pretty mush the same type of climate as BC...and one of the most visited places in the world my tourists each year. The scenery is beautiful.

AMAZING photos! I'd love it up there I'm sure, just shopping for somewhere I can sell the woman on.... The only time of the year that we've visited Vancouver was in the April time frame which was still a bit on the chilly side.... Today weather.com reported the 50s for Van....burrr |
WHY YOU BASHING MY COUNTRY? USA EVERY COUNTRY FIGHTS WARS. THINK OUTSIDE THE BOX DID YOU SEE THE PROTEST? I WAS THERE!
|
israel for the climate and the jews and mexico for the weather, wrestling and cost of living

If Israel's climate of hate would decrease I'd love it there I'm sure, if Mexico would allow foreigners to own property near the beach I'd be game.... I guess it's time to get some l00t and just move to Greece :) |
Another place/region I was looking at was S. America, but Argentina seems a tad unstable atm....Brazil a bit on the humid side all year long....
anyone from down south that has some recommendations? |
Ecuador. No particular reason.
|
Vancouver is a paradise...
No snow all fucking winter long!! Woohooo! There is snow but it is only on the mountains not on the roads or city. It's always like +15 here all winter. Plus we're surrounded by mountains, and an incredible ocean. The people here are totally laid back and there are tons of hotties. Free healthcare, wicked beer, no draft what could be better!!! Plus you get $1500 Canuck for every $1000 US cheque you cash :) Can't beat that man! DH |

If I were single the decision would be Soooooooo simple, I'd be in Vancouver in a heartbeat... I've been there only 2 times and loved it... :thumbsup :thumbsup I would have to travel during the summer though to get my heat on....it was 80 F today and I was working on my tan.... |
canada for sure! great healthcare, very peaceful, many private schools for your children :winkwink:
I love canada! :thumbsup |

If you could combine Winnipeg's low cost of living/housing with Vancouver's weather/location you'd have the ultimate paradise.
|
there's reason why the UN named Canada the best place to live about a kajillion times in a row...
...not that you americans listen to the UN ;) |
I would choose Australia (especially Sydney) or Canada (specifically Vancouver)
Other awesome countries include: Netherlands New Zealand Ireland UK |

Australia for the climate
Ireland for the 'craic' to be sure, to be sure, top of the morning etc etc |
Lots of hot bi women in Canada... LOTS :)
|
what's good bout the US is that if you don't like where you live then you can move to another state,
I learned that there are lots of different types of people in different areas of the country |
Summertime, and if you wouldn't have to pay taxes = finland.
The 9 months or winter I'd rather live in Iraq. |

I read an article lately that said a panel voted Vancouver BC the 2nd best place to live in the world. They based it on cost of living, crime rate, entertainment and a few other things I can't remeber. Switzerland had the #1 place and they also had 4 of the top 10 spots.

PAPUA NEW GUINEA
Full of people who have no idea what they are talking about - JUST LIKE most of people here, but at least they know they don't know shit, UNLIKE most people here :winkwink: :321GFY http://www.xxxmanager.com/docs/fun/png9_small.jpg Curtsey of ************.com |
Thailand, without a doubt.
|
Thailand. i forgot to mention the reason(s).
strong dollar against local currency. good food, safe, low crime rate, fairly clean by 3rd world standards, and some of the most beautiful and feminine women in the world. if you love slender, tight bodied feminine women with beautiful skin and beautiful long hair, this is heaven on earth, unlike anything in the western world. and more than just the physical, it's how the women treat you. it's very seductive. you could easily live in thailand just for the women. but, i am happily married ;) but if my wife EVER gave me any trouble (ok, just daydreaming) |
