VBulletin, or Twitter / Facebook?
 

If you were going to start a new community for your website or group, would you purchase vBUlletin or other forum software, or just go to Twitter or Facebook?

We have a couple of forums but considering the maintenance, hosting and licensing etc, Twitter and Facebook just looks alot more interesting on so many levels.

Your thoughts?

What about your own Reddit group?

Depending on the type of community you might want ownership over the data.

Invision Power Suite is good as it combines a robust and extensible forum with social and ecommerce features.
