Propaganda and Disinformation Continuing....

There is no and was no civilian uprising in Basra.

"The Platform of Truth"...yah right!

Let me ask you something...is it fair to lie to your own people to win a war?

If thats okay, then tell me. I just dont get why so many people are able to accept the outright disinformation and lies.

All's fair in love and war I suppose.

There is NO news source out there (I don't care which country they are from) that are not omitting facts, putting spins on things or over-indulging on facts. The best bet we all have is to use as many sources as possible and try to draw our conclusions on a compilation of reports. The only people that truly know exactly what is going on are the people that are right there in the middle of it.

Well I'm not so certain that the average army guy has any idea what they are doing there.

Remember: "I just follow orders."

Yes thats a very convenient way to excuse civilian deaths isnt it?

Sly_RJ 03-26-2003 11:33 AM

Saddam tells the truth. Why can't George?

Blame the media bro. They're the ones spreading the lies. I don't even like them being in there... but hey, Freedom of Speech, right?

I don't like hearing false information anymore than you do. So why bitch about it and blame the American government when the media is reporting LIVE, before the military or government can even muster "shut up"?

You misunderstood. I meant they know what is going on as in "what they see". "If they are told to protect civilians, if our soldiers are being battered as badly as Saddam claims, or on the flipside (The Iraqi forces) If they really are dressing up like civilians, etc.

My point is.. only they see the big picture....and even when this is over with--I doubt we'll hear a 100% true account of anything.

That is just my opion and I'm entitled to it, as are you!

:)

"The Platform of Truth"...yah right! Every country does it.... here in Belgium we have had one political scandal after another where lies were digged up. In the US Egypt Air 990 crashed in 1999.... copilot was blamed for it, suicide they said, not very true, and i can proove it :Graucho . In iraq Saddam is shown as the most carring man ever existed on earth, take a look in his cellar....
Heh, like i stated in other posts, every governement has it's own dirt pool but the Sadam regime is something else. Get him out of his chair is what i say! :)
