A Muslim scholar was just interviewed on FOX news
 

...and he stated that Saddam is not a Muslim and in fact is secular and only pretends to be a Muslim for propaganda purposes with the Iraqi people. It was said that Saddam denounced God many years ago.

"Muslim scholar". Betcha he's a shiite. I doubt he can read the mind of Saddam or know whether he is once again a Muslim but I betcha he feels Sunni's are not even real Muslims.

Old news. I remember hearing that during the first Gulf War. He only dregs up Islam when it suits his purpose - ie, holy war, etc.

He was a Shiite and was from Basrah, but it was his story that many years ago Saddam denounced God as being non existent and is in fact a secular. It is a fact that Iraq per se is considered to be more secular than any of the other countries in that area of the world.

Of course even his declaration could have been a ruse to garner the friendship of the Soviets.

Saddam is a communist. He is not a Muslim. Just like Christianity, Islam has been perverted by political interests.

But the job has been done and now America hates Islam and hates muslims.

I cant believe its 2003 and we're talking about the same old war thats been fought for 2000 years.
