How many emails can a 40k file contain ?
 

I got a 40k text file full of e-mails.
How many could there be ?

from memory 10k emails is around 180k so do the math :)

so it 41k would probably contain 2277 emails :)

not many, i have 17500 on my list, and thats 377k

7300 emails for our webmaster opt-in newsletter is 153k in size on the server.

btw i know there are a shitload of programs out there that can count them for you our you could just use linux

40k text file should have about 1.5 million emails in the list.

The program eListPro has an address counter, among other things. http://www.softwarewarrioress.com/GED/elistpro.htm

figure out how many characters an average address has... maybe 12? convert the file size to bytes and divide by that number...
