Why do you use AVS?

I assume webmasters use them to generate extra income. It's easy to create one and the conversions are high. It also eliminates the logistic nightmares of running a paysite with an affiliate program full of bitching webmasters.

If you are asking in terms of a surfer, then you'd better quit the business right now!

if it's really that simple - could you please explain?

Not a stupid question...

AVS/AEN offers a flexibility that you do not find with most sponsorship programs.

plenty more reasons...but here is a short list.

1.) You have 1 to 3 levels to promote
2.) You build your own complete site for the system, which you can promote in a wide variety of ways.
3.) Retention of members is outstanding--due to the variety of sites, and backend content.
4.) You get _traffic_ from the AVS/AEN

If you have the ask the question, then you don't know what you are missing out on :)

I just like to make lots of html pages. That is why I do it.

Well guys, for those who take advantage of the AVS world might x-check.de be of interest. It is the largest AVS in Europe, so traffic is something it gets enough off.

Unfortunately it is only available in German at the moment, but within the next few months we will have completed the translation.

@adamneve

avs sites convert better than any paysite, since most offer these so called 'free' passes (which are connected either to a free trial or to a paid membership to a paysite) - the surfer will be able to use this pass for one year.
and the most important part - with every new webmaster who protects his members area with an AVS, the members area for the AVS gets bigger and bigger - so the surfer gets that much content - he won't be able to download everything.

and that's finally what makes the AVS converting better than usual paysites...

By having an AVS site you're going to make money multiple ways.

- sales to the AVS by restricting your site to members only
- rebills to the AVS if your site is a premium level site
- upsells from the existing traffic (upselling to a premium site works best from what I've seen)
