Drivers 'put sexual thrills ahead of safety'

Drivers are said to be putting behind-the-wheel sexual thrills above safety, according to a study.

Max Power surveyed a total of 1,941 readers about what they get up to while driving.

According to the magazine one in five drivers have had sex, and one in two has masturbated during a long journey.

The survey also reports that one in two has received oral sex from their passenger.

Seven in ten said they use a mobile phone while driving, even though one in two said it could be dangerous.

One in every two drivers has sent text messages, one in four has made a cannabis joint and four in ten have eaten a burger while driving.

The full results will be published on 28 in the 10th Birthday issue of the magazine.

Editor John Sootheran commented: "All these activities are dangerous and possibly illegal distractions for drivers, but with our busy working and social lives we all spend more and more time in our cars, so perhaps these results are to be expected. Although obviously we don't condone people masturbating!"
