eh, hilary has made her own gaffes with BLM that have not cost her. I think the school of thought in BLM that the clintons are the problem is a small group of student activists, likely taught that nonsense in class.

that's only because hillary's (the Clinton's) true colors have only recently begun to show. they are both angry people. she's showing it with her attacks on Sanders, which will backfire in her angry face, he's showing it by getting curt with the blm activist, who is right btw. clinton's crime laws got more blacks shot/killed by cops.

they are not bringing in sanders' supporters or blm supporters, they are alienating them by destroying their dreams with clinton story telling.

The Black Lives Matter people had their heart in the right place at first, but they need to take it down a notch. They do more stepping on their own toes than anything.

hmmm...bill & hilary seem to be on different sides on this view. if i understand right, hilary has apologized for her past comments & support of the crime bill. Bill, on the other hand, is defending himself here. as a hilary hater, i am certain her position is merely self serving.

it's my understanding clinton was not lying when he spouted those stats, his crime bills and such worked in a lot of ways. but the blm pov is that racism within the law enforcement system and judicial system caused an inordinate amount of blacks to get caught up in it. i'm not saying racism is THE cop problem we all face today, but it is part of the problem.

as far as i know hills has not denounced her husband's legislation.

i found the recent outbursts by both clinton's to be revealing.

personally i have mixed feelings on the assertion the 90s law was racist. It did effect the black community disproportionate. crack sentences are harsher than cocaine ones, & arrest rates for black far outexceeds whites.

but jonny law didnt make crack sentences harsher to target blacks. crack was responsible for a spike in crime, so they targeted crack as a more serious threat to public safety. hence higher deterrent theory from harsher sentencing. which effected the black community worse. esp as black people sell in public streets far more often than whites, who mostly sell behind closed doors.

but i ask, is it really the laws fault, in the end? to me, leftist ideology has no home for personal responsibility. BLM talks like their people are innocent & race cops swept them to jail. But dont the people in jail commit crimes to get there? BLM never speaks to the recent assertions of ray lewis. they dont protest their own.

IMO, end the illegal drug trade, the black murder rate falls 80%. poverty has existed for millenia without the blood that spills due to the allure of drug dealing.
