the Iraqi troops and civilians who TRULY want to surrender. Who will take them seriously now?

Even more unneeded civilian and soldier deaths for the Iraqi's. The fake surrendering wasn't a bad idea, but the probability of backfire is too strong to make it truly worthwhile...

There are some troops out there who are fighting purely because Saddam has threatened them with death if they don't and also that if the American soldiers catch them then they will kill them by leathal injection!
