Anyone use Photoshop elements
since adobe is not updating photoshop anymore unless you buy their cloud stuff, anyone use elements 14? is it similar to photoshop?
|
I use their cloud stuff. It's worth every penny when you make a living as a webmaster.

I have photoshop CS6, but there wont be a cs7, I really hate having to buy a subscription to everything anymore.

One issue I had was that the raw converter was crippled (had fewer controls than ACR in full Photoshop). This was a while ago, so I'm not sure if its still the case or not.

Photoshop is $10 per month or the whole creative suite is $49 per month.
At those prices why would you bother with a half baked solution ? |

health care, mortgage, energy, insurance for just about everything including your fart not ripping your pants, ANY type of software, music, movies, HDD diskspace, hosting, etc etc. Cost of living seems to be going up and up, might be my age, but still. I fully understand people giving up and live in the gutter sometimes. Its insane. |
It's decent, unless you're a serious retoucher.

You can get CS2 for free if you really need it, their activation server broke:

What feature or aspect of Elements14 makes it better or more productive than say, Elements5?
|
I bought cs6 and sticking with that for a long time. You might be able to buy Photoshop used?, not sure if the license allows. Even when I was making 7 figures a year I tried to cut every cent in cost...
