care packages needed for the US military

I am gathering stuff to send to my brother,
he said he needs the usual toiletry stuff
extra goodies like candy, food and porn magazines are nice

then i thought it would be cool if others decided
to donate some items to send out,
i am pretty sure you can put ANYSOLDIER in the
name and it can be sent to anyone

i don't know if you remember but back in the previous gulf
war lot of corporate sponsors were donating stuff,
I think i still have a stack of budweiser playing cards lol

i hope there some people interested

also if there is anyone else that has friends or family there
you can give me the address and i'll make sure they
can get a package with the donations

my goal is to get atleast 20 people to get packages

please email me at "playa1 at attbi.com"

Hey, what a great idea.

Can you find some information for us? Where to send supplies and such?

I hope some of the anti-war/humanitarian protesters are doing the same. I also hope they're putting together food and supplies to send over for the Iraqi's. I'm sure they'll need anything they can get.

That is a valid point. It seems the ones in most need of it are the ones in the field and I highly doubt they'll send a copter out just to drop off "goodies". The only ones I can see the packages reaching are the carriers (maybe) but in the entire scheme of things: they have beds to sleep on, movies to watch, etc... the ones in the field would be the most deserving of stuff. (My ex was on a carrier during the first gulf war and they are on some long and hard shifts but they are constantly playing movies and doing things to boost morale.)

PS. This is not to say that anyone based on a ship has it easy. Just easIER than the land troops.

Well they do,
everytime the forward military gets resupplied, this even includes mail,

though its not superfast, it'll prolly take 3 weeks to get there,

the way its shipped is the military has there own mail system

playa 03-24-2003 11:46 AM

If anyone knows actual address's of friends and family members i can have packages sent to them with the donations
