This is of course not on any of the major news sites here (all german-owned) as it would likely increase support for the current Gov't... We have a HUGE leftist propaganda machine here as far as our TV and news sites go - yet on this topic 99% of people are completely agreed. Pro-immigrant protests have turnouts you can count on one hand.

Hungary and Slovakia declared the same thing weeks ago. Poland after the Turkey deal agreed to take 100 cherry-picked immigrants (women/children/catholics) per quarter and then this after Brussels

I will add that the stuff our PM says about Poland accepting alot of Ukrainian immigrants is absolutely true. I started noticing in the last 6 months that they are absolutely everywhere, albeit mostly doing menial jobs at the moment like working at grocery stores, hair salons, clothing stores, construction, factories, etc. I'm sure this will change over time as they learn the language and their kids go to school here and so forth - Polish and Ukrainian are mutually intelligible but while I can have a short conversation with someone cutting my hair, getting a medical diagnoses or something like that is another story.

When put in Poland, do they stay?

The ones put in Czech have a habit of disappearing once they see the benefits system.

I do not know how system is set up but I would imagine that if invader is assigned to Czech republic he can not get benefits if he "flees from the war" to lets say Germany or Sweden. Otherwise the system would be useless.

No, I read something like 70 or 80% of them vanish.

While i'm not some big PIS fan to begin with - the current Gov't did not CREATE the national debt. They were in opposition for 8 years, and only in power for I think 2 years before that. As for stuff like 500+ program, I have 2 kids and can take it for one of them only because my income is too high. I don't need the money and it won't make a lick of difference in my life, but it's a free $1500USD/year so why not. In most cases though with lower income families, this money isn't going to go into a savings account or vanished - it will be spent. VAT will be paid, income tax will be paid, etc. It goes back into the economy.

I'm about the furthest thing from a socialist there is - I don't think 500+ is a great idea but it would be stupid not to take the free money if they are giving it anyways. The idea behind it i guess is to increase birth rates i think - which it probably will - and even if it's spent on booze (which im sure it will be in a few cases, but the vast majority of families that have kids are not patholigical families with raging alcoholics as parents) - there's taxes on alcohol, vat, and income tax from the producer and seller of it. It does come back, at least partially, back into the economy.

Besides that, we only realistic choice is between PIS and PO because all the other parties are too small. If PO stayed in power we'd have 100k or more Arab "refugees" already - PO allowed poland to become a german colony.
