Sad but true. They will be assimilated.

Why? Islam and Christianity already share many common roots/profits/beliefs etc. It's not really that big of a jump from one to another. However, the Muslim extremists take things well.. to extremes and very severely distort the world's view of their religion, which in actuality frowns upon their actions. Islam is a VERY peaceful religion, in theory.

As if..... turning them Christian will make them any more peaceful. Fact: More Christians died at the hand of fellow Christians than other religions.

Peace has little to do with religion. It has everything to do with politics, economics and respect for law.

they will learn to live their own life.. As muslims or christians or whatever.. They will take a fresh deep breath..

I was speaking as far as actual beliefs and moral values, not culture. Don't take me out of context. I've studied both religions in depth. Both sides oftentimes fail to see that both religions are two different branches of the same tree, in essence. They stemmed from the same basic beliefs, each took their own path. Do some research, you'll find that what I say is 100% true.

While I'm sure there were some forceful conversions of Vikings, most of the conversions occurred when Viking kings/leaders converted to Christianity....and their subjects followed them.

We already tried to convert them once remember? and that didn't go down to well...

After watching Saddam's speech the other day and listening to him spout god this and god that, and do it in the name of god, and those who die will live in paradise with god for eternity, I had to agree with a Chinese General in 7 Year in Tibet who said 'Religion is Poison' ..
Leaders have from every religion in the world have been backing their horrible ways with religion since the dawn of religion. Although I still think that without any religions humans would still find some reason to kill each other, but seeing as most of them have used religion to justify it in the past it makes for a suitable target for my critique..

I've never put much creedence in those types of alarmist publications. Not to say that there may be loose affiliations or sparse communication between al-queda and the chinese.

But I think they're more less drawning far fetched conclusions based upon a few plausible events...I doubt very much that the book is founded on very much fact...I would however give it a read for shits and giggles.

But $20 for such a publication is a bit of an outrage.

I'll wait till I see it on the shelves of the local used book store.

My main point is the fact that when the people of downtrodden or supressed countries like iraq or china are given the freedom to have a direct effect on the profitability of their own lives, they'll jump on the chance quickly. And thus support any form of government that makes such things possible...
