Is it better to Drink Rum or Wine?

I am partial to a glass or two of each.

I didn't drink anything for a few days and was wondering which is healthier?

Rum, less calories. Straight to the point with diet coke.

Easier to drink and get drunk, but that's basically the positive and negative too. :P

I would think wine is better, rum is loaded with sugar.

I prefer rum, I like wine but wine always gives me a headache.
just rum and water

SpeedoDave 03-20-2016 03:45 PM

Rum and scotch all the way.

If I drink too much red wine it seems to give me the runs the next day, asked a doctor friend of mine and it is something to do with the sulfur (and me not drinking all that much wine).

depends on the quality of each + your drunken goals (having a conversation - wine. party out - well, both)

CaptainHowdy 03-21-2016 05:50 AM

Good wine, of course.

If you want "healthy", cognac is probably the way to go, it has many of the "benefits" of wine (antioxidants and other goodies) with fewer calories... :thumbsup

Ether, be a man, men dont need to ask :0

If you want healthy then Red wine will do it. 4 to 6 oz 3 or 4 times a week would be great. Just vary the time of day so its not a habit forming thing.

Cleans your blood well and might actually extend your life.

Calories

The so-called hard liquors rum, brandy and vodka all have the same amount of calories because of their similar basic contents. One ounce of rum, brandy, or vodka ? or almost any other unsweetened, distilled alcohol -- has 65 calories, according to College Drinking: Changing the Culture, a program run by the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism.

When I don't drink enough, it turns into shit-fest 2016. Withdrawals are a bitch and a half.

i like both not consume much.

sperbonzo 03-21-2016 02:19 PM

Red wine. Plenty of research out there showing that a glass of red wine every day is actually more healthy for you then not drinking at all.
