2MuchMark 03-16-2016 08:25 AM

I only heard about this really recently. Amazing..

So if the eventual nominee turns out not to be Trump, then who do you think would get it? Could it actually be Mitt Romney? And another question : Why would anyone such as Rubio drop out of the race if a nominee can still be anyone?

_Richard_ 03-16-2016 08:27 AM

in a republic? say it ain't so

but remember what trump said.. if he doesn't get nominated.. there is gonna be riots

ITraffic 03-16-2016 08:29 AM

rubio just suspended his campaign not dropped out. so rubio, ryan, romney ....

ITraffic 03-16-2016 08:31 AM

trump can't threaten the gop like a tomato throwing protester. if he calls for violence over this he and his protesters will be crushed ruthlessly and mercilessly by the police state started with bush after 911.

Both parties choose their noms at their conventions, not just the GOP.

Doesn't that sound like a threat to you?

baddog 03-16-2016 05:20 PM

You should hear what he said, it is not what you read or a threat

Yes and No. It doesn't really sound like it, but it is.

I heard what he said, and even though it doesn't sound like a threat, because he is simply just stating a fact, using that kind of rhetoric is dangerous. It probably wouldn't be so easy to incite a riot just by saying that, if he wasn't already responsible for protestors being assaulted by using rhetoric that has been much more blatant. So, yeah, even if it didn't sound like it, it is a threat.

TCLGirls 03-16-2016 05:55 PM

Trump was just "theoretically" speaking, when he referenced riots. So it wasn't a threat... wink wink.

or maybe he was merely stating the very possible scenario

That's why I said Trump was just "theoretically speaking"...as in a theoretical possibility...wink wink.

I think this might potentially be the year that the sheeple realize that our votes mean absolutely nothing. They want Trump to run? The people have spoken? Nope. Each party can go completely against the public's wishes.

Say that somehow Trump doesn't get it and decides to run anyways. Come election day the people just happen to vote for him. The people have chosen, right? Nope. The electoral college can still go against the people's votes.

In theory it's supposed to be for the people by the people. In most cases it is. This year? Probably not.

It sounded like you were being sarcastic, so I just schooled you.

For example riots after Rodney King. If someone said "there would be riots if sentencing came out not what expected" he was not threatening. He was just stating the high possibility.
But, of course, when Trump says it it is certainly threatening, we know already.

Or Trump doesn't run and Clinton wins. Which is likely to be the outcome whether the runs as the nominee, Independent or doesn't run.

You mean like the constant whines about Obama and now Hillary?

How's that doing away with Obamacare going? Any word about Benghazi? What about the guns do you think Obama still gonna take them? I'm also still waiting for Obama to unleash ISIS... waiting...

Has the right ever been right?

the consensus is building ...

We are not advocating that rules be broken but that they be employed to maximum effect — to force a brokered convention and nominate a conservative candidate who respects the Constitution, or to defeat Mr. Trump in some other way.
