The Chemical Plant that was discovered today

...will not be the last found. It is just the first. It will take some time I am sure to establish what was being produced there, but being out in the middle of no where and apparently being camouflaged I would assume that they were not producing aspirin.

Probably used to make baby food. Iraq (apparently) produces more baby food than the rest of the world combined.

250 kilometers = 160 miles. 60 miles give or take between two of the reports. Everyone wants to be first to press, a difference in the number of miles reported does not invalidate the report. At least try to come up with something good if you want to ignorantly insist that Iraq wasn't up to anything.

I did not " insist " that Iraq wasn't up to anything.

I just showed how reliable and accurate the news reports are.

On the other hand, if "give or take 60 miles " isn't of an issue, why was much less numbers an issue for missiles....

I'm not sure what you're referring to. I don't remember a big deal being made about a discrepency in the number of missiles used. Even if there IS a discrepency in reports, I would say it still isn't a big deal. War is war for a reason: it's confusing and scary and it's going 24 hours a day. How accurately can missile usage be measured? A discrepency could be caused simply by reporting a number while a handful ships still hadn't filed their reports. At the end of the war, they'll be able to tell us how much of what oridnance was used, but not necessarily during the conflict.

As for the miles, it still doesn't matter. If one says 200 miles and one says 100 miles and someone else gives a different number in kilometers, so what? 99% of that kind of thing is caused by everyone wanting to go to print before everyone else. My girlfriend is a journalist and I know how much trouble that causes. By tomorrow or the next day, they'll have it worked out and their numbers will match more closely. The important thing is whether or not the plant exists and they ALL agree on that.
