When you say "kids" you mean those US soldiers that go to the army willingly and which age of many of them is the the sane as many of the webmasters here ;) (on their 20's)?
Or you mean the Iraqis that have no much choice and have no Idea why they fight for a regeime that is the main threat to their lives on more than one form, and which are more even older than the US soldiers?

I think that TV and our country in general shows war in a lighter effect..look at the history videos that come from the past wars. Most are filled with shots from planes and our grinning troops and hugging women in the streets when they get home..but lo and behold in the face of death they show their human side,the side of them that wants to live another day and be with their friends and family...this is why it should be on national tv, to show war isnt 3d images and hitting big red buttons and dropping 2k pound anvils on civilians
