While the pic may be old, it is being reported that Russian technicians were in Baghdad about a week before the war started instructing Iraqis on how to use the jamming equipment correctly.

Everyone keeps talking about the US' financial reasons for going to war, but no one wants to know about the Russians and France's reasons for NOT going to war.

Russia produces oil. If oil in Iraq becomes much cheaper and easier to obtain, Russia's oil market share drops considerably. Of course Russia also sold weapons and educated Iraqi's how to use them. Hence Russia's reason to be against the war.

France buys a shit load of oil from Iraq, more than likely has many business/economical ties with the Iraqi government. They are also a fairly powerful country and undoubtedly dread seeing the US becoming more powerful than it currently is. Hence France's reasons :-)

Maybe Russia doesn't want foreign powers congregating 200 miles from the border.

Stopping Iraq trade is about as likely as stopping Mexican drug traffic. All lip service. Reality is anyone with a car can trade.

for me this is old news. I said before on this board the French, were very worried what we will find, the papers, and on computers, shit they have been doing this for years, Russians and Germans right there with them. Some years ago our CIA had to help American companies because the French Gov. is so into industrial espionage it ain't funny. When asked about it they admitted it.

Shit the Russian's tried to buy a big building right downtown Mountain View, California, all kinds of companies doing secret work around there. They would have been able to on the roof and see Lockheed, a Air Navy station. The Fed's stepped in and said NO way. If Clinton would had been Prez. the sale would have went through.

You have to remember the Russian's and the French spent there money on profecting there industrial espionage, a lot cheaper than coming up with the new products, military ones included. So many people on this board are just clueless. Don't know that much about the German's.

People saying it's about the oil, well you better believe it is about the oil with the French.

I think that any war is just a big game of BIG people. And all troops from both sides are just pawns. Civil population suffers.

All we know that almost all leaders of the US are origined from oil industries and Iraq is known as oil-producer. You may tell me that Us is against terrorism, but it creates fertilized soil for the growth of it. I also think that US leaders bring worldwide economics to grave.

absolutely, Russias oil is already more expensive then Iraq's since the U.S. already seized a large part of Iraqs oil they most likely wont buy Russias oil in such large quantities. Not to mention all the other countries around the world that wont buy russias oil.
