What the fuck is wrong with my cat? Help

Hi folks,

I've had my cat for 6 years, never had a problem till this morning. He took a crap on one carpet and a piss on another, what the fuck is wrong with him? Going psycho?

Which reminds me.

Whats the difference between a woman and a computer?

You only have to punch your instructions into the computer once.

6 years old is not old, and besides he is in great shape. Still very active, jumps around like a kitten.

the cute lil bed that you got him must make him psycho

Try chaning his litter pan. If he's not happy with it...he'll shit anywhere he pleases to let you know.

Have you had anything change in the household recently? Someone leave or come? A new baby? Move the furniture? Anything?

And 6 is not old for a cat. One of ours just died and she was 24.

Get it's bollox chopped off if you've not done already...

If he ain't had the snip, he's marking his territory.

6 years is not that old at all.

My cat is 12 and jumps around like he's a kitten!!!!

Anyway cats will only do that if they are displeased with something usualy its the litter box.

So you have 2 options
1) train him to empty it [fat fucking chance]
2) clean it a bit more often...

Good luck cats rock!

FATPad 03-23-2003 01:24 PM

Is the litterbox clean? They'll find somewhere else if the litterbox hasn't been cleaned in a while.

He could also be sick.

Nothing changed, I did not introduce any new pets or anything like that.

The only thig that is differnt is I neglected the litter box a couple days more than usual.

It really could be any number of things..take it from someone who's had cats all her life and studied a lot about them. I have 5 now. MOst of the time something puts them off their litterbox.. Older cats are pretty set in their ways.. Did you change litter? some cats are REALLY particular about what kind of litter you use.. I have one that if I use ANYTHING but his kind, he pisses everywhere. DId you move his litterbox? Is there something else bothering him? Did you move his favorite chair? Buy him a new scratching post? Figure out what it is that is different or upsetting him.. It may just be that his litterbox is really bad and most cats will NOT use a super messy box. If you can't possibly imagine or think of anything, you might want to take him to a vet. A cat off their box can sometimes be an indication of an illness, but only when you've exhausted all other options.

My cat started suddenly after 14 years of no problems to shit, piss and puke almost every day. She also stopped eating and got thinner and thinner, finally I was told that she had an kidney failure and that I should put her to rest...
