Site owner DMCA's me and asksstop promoting
 

Hello guys, I'd like to know your take on this.

There is a site that announced a new model. I posted some photos of her and I rank first on her name. My blog is not the only one that posted about her. I used only three photos of the model, which were made available on the Site's official facebook page.

I get an an e-mail on behalf of the Site owner asking me to take down photos of the blog post and delete any affiliate link on it.

This people DMCA me back in 2013 when I had a blog on blogspot and that blog almost got taken down. again, I was promoting the site and my blog was the only one who suffered. Other blogs had more content and nothing happened to them.

So my answer this time was that I felt this was directed to me and I would take down the photos after all the lother bloggers take them down too. I feel that this is a direct "attack" on my site for ranking better than the official site for that term and the critics I made in the past.

So, the photos are available on the official facebook page. There is even a fan twitter account. Other blogs have posted the photos. What trouble would I get into if I don't take down the photos?

When I post about a site or a girl that does not make me money, I divide the post in two and show what the visitor wants, but also I usually include another girl or topic in the same post so I can grab the attention and make visitors check out other pages. I rank well for some models who do not have own sites, but have a lot of searches, but in those posts I introduce visitors to models they would like based on what they are searching.

do you own the copyright to the images you are using? simple question. If the answer is no then YOU MUST take it down when requested to.. You say their FB and their other pages use these images? So what they own the photos so they have the right to post those images..

I'm pretty sure he understands that, what he doesn't understand is why the sponsor, considering the environment, is telling him to remove it. There are probably a billion other thieves stealing his content, but the one legit one, actually trying to put money in his pocket, he asks him to remove it.

OP, I would just remove all his content links and cease all promotion. Fuck that dumbass.

you don't get to ignore DMCA cause other blogs use said images.. maybe they haven't got to them yet..

The question looks stupid or maybe it is and I have not realized it, but my point is: I don't own the photos. Affiliates do not own the photos, so this mean that any paysite owner can DMCA their affiliates?

According to the follow up e-mail other affiliates got the notification. However, the website owner holds a grudge on me because of a bad review I made 3 yeas ago. I am asking the other blogs about the notification, but I doubt they got it.

BTW the owner is a guy that showed upon this board last year claiming that he was making hundreds of thousands of dollars and wanted to invite people to his site. After getting some criticism on the site he started to make fun of everybody and finally left this board.

I will take down his crappy photos tomorrow. another blogger -who gets almost 1m visits a month- got the email too and was forced to take down the photos.
I wonder if the forums where his content is shared for free got the email too or he is just targeting affiliates.

Replace the photo with some other photo from a different sponsor/different model.

Change out the link to point at the new sponsor.

DO NOT CHANGE THE TEXT!

So, let the number one position for his model go to a different sponsor, I am sure they won't mind the extra traffic.

If he does not want your work and traffic for his program, ramp up your work, SEO the hell out of the model name and send all that traffic to a different sponsor with a similar model. That will be fun for the current program, then effectively making zero dollars.
