Running or Cycling Fitness App Suggestion.

I'm going to start jogging and need an app to track my progress. The park is roughly 1.5 miles away, making it a 3 mile round trip. I want to start tracking my progress. What app do you use? I'll need it to map my route, time it, and store individual trip information. Free or paid app, it doesn't matter.

I use paid Endomondo. I tried many. This is the one to use. If you just want the tracking, you can use the free version.

If you are new to running this program was pretty fun and worked for me the first time I tried it.. Couch to 5k

Under armour has been making huge plays in this arena having acquired endomondo and myfitnesspal and another too I think. I use myfitnesspal but UA just recently came out with this badass setup with their own app that ties it all together to myfitnesspal, this

Take a look at: Pact - Commit to you.

it doesn't track your progress, but it's a great tool to help you stay motivated... and on top of that, you can score a few bucks... :thumbsup

I used MapMyRide on my iPhone until I bought a dedicated Garmin bike computer. But MapMyRide is good.

NemesisEnforcer 02-21-2016 05:56 PM

Strava, MapMyRide or MapMyRun

Great suggestions. Thanks everyone! I'll go through and find out which one works the best for my needs.

I recommend Endomondo. Does what you want straight out of the box, add gadgets if you'd like.

Shoplifter 02-21-2016 10:42 PM

I have an Apple Watch. Works great in terms of tracking and awareness.

pornguy 02-22-2016 07:30 AM

LetterTwenty7 02-22-2016 07:41 AM

There are many good apps, I used one a year ago, but can't even remember the name...
Anyway, you'll feel the progress, so IMHO you don't REALLY need an app.
You're welcome, mate. :)

scuba steve 02-22-2016 10:03 AM

buy a garmin 920 and get the garmin connect for your phone, it'll do both for you. you'll track more than you ever wanted to haha

Lonny 02-22-2016 11:14 AM

I only use a simple androidStopwatch & Timer and Google
Pedometer
since I do allot of walking.

Endomondo was a bit more then what I needed.

Would be nice if I can find a single app for those I mentioned above. I seen a nice one for Apple but not what I need.
