SAT 6 years ago:

Math: 750
Verbal: 600

also AP English - 3, AP Algebra 4

Sounds pretty good until you hear that 30% of my class (at the same study level) did better than that.:helpme

angeleyes 03-22-2003 04:23 PM

I believe that those tests do have their merits, however are inconclusive. My SAT scores made me look like I had the intelligence of an 8th grader. However? when my ex took his MCAT exam, he pulled some strings and they allowed me to take it. (I was curious what the result would be because I am one of those people that read Medical Journals and Medical Text Books). I actually scored in the top 30% (not bad for someone that when to College and majored in Communications with zero Medical training.) Some people just don?t perform well under pressure and quite frankly I think those tests are too ?generic?. How many wealthy people are there that didn?t even graduate High School? (More than you would think.)

boneprone 03-22-2003 04:33 PM

In 1996 I took the GRE and scored in the top 10% in the nation of College Grads in the analytical section.

Im still not sure what the fuck that means, and it didnt do me any fucking good.

Grad school is a joke.
Its for people who cant get jobs with thier first degree, or for people not creative enough to start their own bussiness.

Fuck, I hated grad school. Bunch of fucking idiots that were so far out of touch with real life it was amazing.

XxXotic 03-22-2003 04:38 PM

680 math
700 verbal

MuleScrote 03-22-2003 05:08 PM

27 on the ACT....:)

StacyCat 03-22-2003 05:48 PM

I got a 29 composite on the ACT, the equivalant of a 1300 on the SAT. I refused to take the SAT.

Voodoo 03-22-2003 05:51 PM

I got a 100 on my SATs!:Graucho

on average, high school dropouts make a lot less than people who went to university.

Im in Canada :(

CC 03-22-2003 08:10 PM

Not that it matters, but I got a 1330 (670 math, 660 verbal) when I took the SATs in 11th grade and a 1010 (don't remember the split) when I took them in 7th grade. Woohoo.

Lane 03-22-2003 08:55 PM

i dont believe in tests much. but i see good results as an accomplishment. its not too important what you are capable of doing, but what you have actually done.

IndiaWebb 03-22-2003 09:05 PM

I'm good at tests. AngelEyes is right, though, they aren't an accurate reflection of intelligence or real world ability.

My scores:

Math: 670
Verbal:680

Hey CC- did you do one of those gifted summer schools where they used the SATs as admission tests? I did, at UC Berkeley, three summers.

dang I got the same scores you got haa haa. I hate standardized tests though. Especially when I got a younger sister who just got a 1500 and is talking smack.

Donny 03-22-2003 09:52 PM

710 Math
610 Verbal

But this was in 1993. I'm way dumber now. :)

Ludedude 03-22-2003 09:59 PM

Surprised we haven't heard from the racial bias morons. They'll be along any minute now to tell you why they're too fucking stupid to pass a standardized test.

G Sharp 03-22-2003 11:13 PM

Took the LSAT 157 mediocre :(

Yes, actually I did something similar to that at Johns Hopkins University for a few years.

I dropped out in the 10th grade. I wont say what I make in a year, but its in the top tax bracket. I love proving those averages wrong.

I was in gifted classes, it was boring, had parents that didnt give a fuck... so I just quit, joined the army a couple years later, took college classes while i was in, but of course none of it matters now.

KRL 03-23-2003 03:05 AM

At the end of the day, the only score that matters is this one.

Sarah_Jayne 03-23-2003 05:12 AM

i can't remember the exact scores and I am too lazy to go dig them out but it was 700 something english and 500 something math...which describes why I was a journalism major who later went to sociology and poltics. Anything to avoid math!
