Lets hope Trump takes it by a landslide. Iowa is always wrong so that kills his chances of moving on.

Caucus history: Past years' results | Iowa Caucuses

Iowa, often as not, has not been an accurate showcase -- so it won't really matter anyway -- I abstain :OP

However, considering recent patterns;
R: Cruz
Mike Huckabee won there is 2008 -- Mike who?

Quote:

On Saturday evening, Bloomberg Politics and the Des Moines Register released the results of their final Iowa caucus poll, which is conducted by by widely-respected pollster Ann Selzer and has been extremely accurate in recent years.

For the Republican race, the poll found Trump in first among likely caucusgoers with 28 percent, Ted Cruz in second with 23 percent, and Marco Rubio in third with 15 percent. Ben Carson is in fourth with 10 percent, and no other candidate gets more than 5 percent support.

On the Democratic side, Hillary Clinton is ahead with 45 percent among likely caucusgoers, followed by Bernie Sanders with 42 percent. Martin O'Malley is very far back, with just 3 percent.
The most respected Iowa pollster's final caucus poll is out. Here's what it says. - Vox
Hillary will probably win -- Bernie is a Brooklyn, New York City, NY born ''Jewish Grandfather'' and a self described socialist -- this should spell doom in Iowa for him.

I would not write Ted Cruz off in Iowa -- look how many voted for Huckabee in 2008 ...

It's an important event for some more than others - Trump HAS to win, he loses and there will be no other story this week in the news, every pundit everybody period will say it was all a mirage and he's done. Rubio has to show well, if he does worse than expected the party establishment could decide to hold off on him and give Bush and Christie more time to put it together.

Trump will definitely win on the republican side.

Clinton will probably win the Dem side.

Looking at the past years results - no candidate has finished worse than 3rd in Iowa and won the nomination of either party
