WMV or MOV to MPEG?
 

Doesn't look like tmpenc or virtual dub will do it... cleaner is a hassle...

Any suggestions?

Tmpgenc does WMV to mpeg i believe, the newest version atleast

cleaner :glugglug took me a good 3-4 days to get some decent handling with it,but thats my choice of weapon...give it another try

you're going to lose a generation no matter what.. If you can't go from uncompressed originals, and you can't find software that will do it faster, you can always "recapture" them in an analog way..

It will suck, but it's better than nothing.

Personally, I don't see what the big obsession with mpeg1 is. Even mac users can view WMVs. Who gives a rats ass about the 2% or so of your surfers that can't view anything but MPEG1.

mov can get you really good quality for decent file size. plus it's very very easy to batch with cleaner :2 cents:

well, mainly the reason I want it to mpeg, is for posting mgp's... and batching screenshots...

hell, if I could batch screenshots in another format easily, I'd give up on converting...
