It would be interesting to be on the ground there as a journo or something though.. to actually see whats happening..

I heard those idiots were going to hospitals and schools...places that weren't going to be targets anyway. None of those asshats were "brave" enough to shield Husseins palace or any other "real" target. If they DID go to a real target, Iraq can keep them...or what's left of them. They aren't Americans anymore.

didn't they go to shield civilians, not Saddam? of course they didn't shield his palace.. I don't think they like Saddam anymore than Bush does even if their actions to tend to give him PR as a side consequence.
To be honest I can't help thinking it's a good thing they're over there. If Iraqi civilians see westerners there dodging bombs with them maybe they'll think twice about becoming terrorists to avenge any deaths the bombs cause.. just a thought.. it's not hurting (us anyways)
The main motive was to put a western face on the deaths, they said in an interview..so it wasn't just faceless brown people that no body cared about.. which is fair enough if thats the way you want to blow your wad. Don't see how it stops making them Americans though - it *is* freedom of expression.. and it's not really going to stop anything from happening or hinder the bombing lol.. so if someone's willing to be a symbolic sacrifice they can have at it as far as im concerned..

It's only when people sacrifice OTHER people for their beliefs that I start to worry :).
