Yet another Paxum question....
I received an email from Paxum on Jan 5th at just after midnight saying that my "Withdraw Funds By Wire Request Completed".
It's been 3 days days and the money is still not in my bank account. Does anyone know if this is normal? I just assumed that when it says "completed", it should be in my account at that point or the day after. Can Ruth or anyone here that withdraws funds from Paxum share the experience on the normal wait time between that email confirmation and when the money actually shows up in your account? Here is a brief transcript of the email I received from Paxum: This email confirms that your withdraw funds by wire request in amount of X,XXX.00 USD for account XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX has been successfully completed. Transaction Details Account: XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Amount: X,XXXX.00 USD Date/Time: 2016-01-05 00:07:54 Transaction Type: Withdraw funds by wire Transaction Status: Completed |
I think that depends on your bank.
A banker once also told me that your transfer might get checked my government/tax office when it takes 1-2 days longer than usual. Dunno if thats true tho. :) |

My main concern is that if they sent it to the wrong account. If it's just slow, it's not a big deal but this is my first wire transfer withdrawal from Paxum so not sure if that Paxum confirmation email means that it's already in my account or if there is a delay of a few days between the email and when get money gets to the account. :) |
The withdrawal complete often means just that the money has been sent on their merry way to your bank. Paxum have no way or authority to see your account or verify when or if the payment has arrived. They can only confirm it's been sent.
Allow for such wire transfer to take one or two days. Then it is up to your bank to receive it, possibly do a currency transaction and then deposit into your account. Depending on location, can take anywhere from hours to a good 10+ days. Also note, as with all banking, around Christmas there are lot of days when banks are closed. The 6th of January for example is Epiphany, 20 days after Christmas and many banks will not operate on that day. Banking is not instant. |

I did the wire transfer request on Dec 31st, so when I saw the Paypal one arrived days ago, I thought I better look into why the Paxum one was late as they were both done on the 31st. |
Give it more time, you will get your payment.

Paxum is a piece of shit. stay away.

A wire will never take more than 2-3 business days. Usually 1 day, 2 days tops, but let's say 3 to keep things safe.
After that point, there are only a few options: The money wasn't actually sent The money was sent but with incorrect banking details = lost wire and usually the SENDER has to put a trace on it to get the money back, which can take weeks. |
