That's exactly why they aren't going after them.. or any other of the big companies yet..

They want to go after the smaller companies first because they know these guys can't afford a big fight..

Once they beat them through default, that'll give them a few wins to their advantage before they take on the biggies.

Microsoft does not have to sue to turn a profit...

How about if somebody made up a "letter" from Acacia and sent it to large companies like Microsoft telling them they're going to be sued. I wonder if that would do anything.

Doesn't the US office hold the key to the patent office? I've heard people talk of the government breaking patents in the past and not being able to do anything about it...

CNN on the other hand.. If they rape the adult industry and get some cases under their belt, we'll probably see a shitload of cases hit the fan.

The big guys are watching this ... they're just hoping a little guy spends all HIS money to beat this claim.

They are currently going after porn companies because they figure they're easier targets.

Their main purpose is for precedents to be set by multiple cases involving adult companies.

This way, if there's enough of a precedent set... then they can start to have ammo to use in a case against the bigger targets, such as Microsoft or CNN.

Yes.. they have every intention of suing them. Just.... not yet.
