How important is GFY community participation to you when it comes to the GFY awards?
 

I put a lot of weight on it when considering who to vote for, ~50%.

There are quite a few reputable people and companies nominated that do not participate here.

Adultlabs for example. Fantastic company and good people.

This place sure has changed over the last 6-8 years. I've lurked here since 02' but posted at another adult forum since 01'

There is a guy who goes by the name of RR Productions that's nominated for Best Content Producer. When he came to GFY asking for votes, he had made less than 100 posts over 2.5 years. His content looks pretty good but the few times he's engaged the community it's been to spam his own product....Repeatedly. He's a spammer, not a contributing member of GFY.

I wonder if the AVN Awards get jerked around with fake nics and such?

I think 50% is a good way to go. I wouldn't expect anybody to vote for me if I were nominated for any of the GFY Awards because I don't post here much. The other 50% I'd apply to what they post. Are they part of GFY or are they somebody who's entire purpose is to troll and create chaos?
