How Quickly Can You Get a Page to Rank in Google?
 

I just wondered, if you had a pretty niche set of keywords and you created a page around those keywords. How long would it take before searching for those keywords your new page can be found in Google?

Is as soon as the page is spidered?

You mean how long does it take for the googlebot to crawl and index your pages?
If so, depending on the site.If you have a high authority site you will be indexed in minutes

What I mean is I have a mainstream site that ranks well for some keyphrases. There are lots of additional key phrases I would like the site to rank for so have been making additional landing pages based around those key phrases.

So the domain ranks well and lots of internal pages rank well. If I create another page how long until that one ranks?

Depends on how SEO friendly is your page you can be on the first page for your target keywords in few days or never ! You should also build some backlinks to that page that can help too !
