Been usin' Firehand Ember for eons...but it doesn't seem to like Win10.

Free is good. :)

That's a useful program I didn't know about. Nice.

Irfanview
IrfanView - Official Homepage - one of the most popular viewers worldwide

What is wrong with the image viewer in Windows 10? I find it works quite well.

It doesn't show thumbnails or PSD format...it's just not what I'm used to working with.

That whole 'old dog/new tricks' curse.

Yup, it's constantly upgraded and improved. I used to work there 15+ years ago.

I actually like the program Photoscape for viewing images. It's just a simple free program that actually comes with some very handy features.

I like Adobe Bridge. Not free though, but if you have CC, you already have a nice one.

Photoscape is a great editor...never really used it for image viewing, tho. Another one I liked was PhotoImpact (made by Ulead - the same guys who created the original Aldus Photostyler 2.0). But it's not free, unfortunately.

I used that for a lot of years before switching to Firehand Ember. If I recall it got somewhat bloated after awhile with an editor module, didn't it?

not quite free, but you can get a legit copy of some slightly older version of photoshop for dirt cheap on ebay...
