Russian jets target Syrian civilians, have killed 200 so far

"Some Russian air strikes appear to have directly attacked civilians or civilian objects by striking residential areas with no evident military target and even medical facilities, resulting in deaths and injuries to civilians," said Philip Luther, director of Amnesty's Middle East and North Africa program.

"Such attacks may amount to war crimes," Luther added.

Any corroboration for this? Or is Amnesty Intl the only source?

On Tuesday, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said Russian airstrikes had killed 2,132 people since the campaign began at the end of September, including 710 civilians.
Amnesty's count is a lot less than the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights says.

What that means exactly IDK.

Whatever the case, Moscow is keep on showing that when it comes to getting serious about fighting terror, nobody does it better than Russia.

You may want to get updated on the successes in Iraq using the Iraqi army combined with precision USA airstrikes.

Ruskies should know by now killing the locals like this is not the way to do it.

What success has russia had fighting Isis?

MiamiBoyz 12-23-2015 10:48 PM

War is just used as a human excuse to justify murder and genocide.

Always been that way and this is no exception.

War will be there as long as all countries will not come to a consensus.

_Richard_ 12-24-2015 05:38 AM

oddly, i am unable to find any reference of Amnesty International condemning the multiple attacks on MSF hospitals

sad to learn about them, but not surprising

seeandsee 12-24-2015 06:30 AM

it will always happen, colateral damage, you heard about it?

spads 12-24-2015 06:57 AM

When the US does it: "oh mai gawd, warmongers, animals, Hitler 2.0, USA is teh Wurst!!?"

When Russia does it: "Putin is strong, like bear fighting smaller less manly bear. Russia genocides better than pussy Obama. Americans too busy drinking milk while Russians drink the vodka."

Didn't expect anything less actually lmao :D

Human Rights groups, watchdogs accuse Russia of targeting Syria's civilians - CBS News

The whole invasion and war in Iraq led by the US was one big war crime with thousands of civilian casualties. None of the ones responsible for it went to court. So why should the russians be treated any different.

To be precise, around 150,695 â?? 169,970 civilian casualties in Iraq.

that isn't even the precise civilian casualty number. for that source, it's 100,000 to 120,000. I believe that count is only during a 3 year period and based on media reports (interesting that this is first), morgues, hospitals, and 'unofficial reports'.

2013 estimate put the number at around 500,000.

Iraq Death Toll Reaches 500,000 Since Start Of U.S.-Led Invasion, New Study Says

however, i think the numbers i was looking at are from 2013? the wiki i was looking at was saying 170k total, with 120k being civilians.. but that site is just showing civilian with no total count? i suppose things have been changed in the format and numbers updated.. edit: yea numbers updated, 200k casualties under in grey

anyway, the newest 2013 is will be in that HP link

How many people were killed by the Soviet Union? Of course Russians don't have to apologize and no one went to trial for crimes against humanity because "Soviet Union doesnt exist anymore". Like a disgraced company embroiled in scandals, they simply rebranded...
