You are probably in a country that we have a geoip block on.

Mostly bots scanning us, or high fraud countries with which we do very little or no business anyways. We were getting hammered 24/7 with bots from places like egypt, tunasia, kazakstan, etc looking for vulnerable wordpress installations, etc.

I doubt it. I'm in California, USA.

What's even weirder is this... if I type the address in the browser: mechbunny.com â?? I get the Apache test page shown in the pic above. BUT! If I do a Google search for "mechbunny" the MB site is the #1 result (obviously) and when I click that link, it works perfectly. Same exact behavior on FF, IE, and Chrome.

Ahhh. Wait....

Just checked again. Shit. :disgust

It's a SSL thing. For me the site isn't automatically directing me to the HTTPS version. I have to manually specify the "S" and then the site loads fine. What happens when you guys try to load the HTTP version?

Can't believe I missed that earlier.

Very strange, I get redirected on http to https. If I check headers here on the http version I get 301 redirect as well:
Rex Swain's HTTP Viewer

What browser are you using?

I've tried:
IE 11
FF 43
Chrome 46

Windows 7

I'm not sure what the issue is. Guessing it must be something with my ISP since nobody else is seeing the problem.

Strange - even gfy followed the 301 redirect, if you look in your first post it managed to fetch the page title

indeed very weird - are you using a proxy?

ps konrad: .htaccess is accessible to the public - I dunno if thats intended.

Fixed it, thanks - There was a <Location> directive that was overwriting the <Files> directive for blocking .htaccess
