The national anthems of both the United States and Canada will continue to be played before NHL games despite the situation in Montreal Thursday night.

A spokesperson for the Montreal Canadiens said the team regrets the incident and was discussing ways of rectifying the situation.

After the sellout crowd of more than 21,000 was asked to show their support and respect for two great nations, a significant portion of the crowd made their feelings known regarding the U.S.-led war against Iraq.

hmmm . I dont really know. i guess we are the same as most canadians on this one. The fact that we speak french dosent influence us on this subject as far as i know.

We are more for the UN resolution and getting everyone on board . We arent like the french from france that are all NO WAY IN HELL. We just would have liked more diplomacy.

And the US booed the Canadian National Anthem last year at a Basketball game. Big deal, people are moron's, but they do not speak for a whole Country.

Us started first dude ... They did it like 10 times a while ago . And mtl is an anti-war city. Compared to the population it was the biggest riot . Over 150 000 person the first time and 200 000 the 2nd time . No cities in the world are more anti war than mtl .
