Google - Unsecured Website Hammer Time
In a bid to further protect its users from cyber attacks, Google has announced that it will start prioritizing secure HTTPS URLs over regular HTTP ones even if they donâ??t have any links pointing to them.
Typically having lots of relevant links has been among the top â??techniquesâ?? for sites to rise in Googleâ??s ranking. The company started giving HTTPS pages a bump in its rankings last year, but will now seek to ensure these become the standard for its search engine. HTTP pages will likely start to drop down in Googleâ??s results as the algorithm is adjusted, which may be a headache for companies that arenâ??t using secure pages. Google says business owners can help by redirecting their HTTP site to their HTTPS version and by implementing the HSTS header on their server. Google has also created a guide for what constitutes a good HTTPS site, including things like not redirecting to or through an insecure page. Official Google Webmaster Central Blog: Indexing HTTPS pages by default ----------- First mobile now HTTPS... its easy to do it but it cost money to get SSL.. :1orglaugh |
Why doesn't Google just force is chrome browser to use https by default?

Google can suck my asshole and choke on my shit. And I've been eating Mexican food all week.

I find it hard to believe that Google would delist any site NOT using https. Considering that requiring https for every single site requires having separate IP's for every single site, and ARIN simply would not allow for that when the internet is out of IP addresses.
That just does not make any sense. This is what we been told by senior tech! |
