Memes are a way to circumvent the TL;DR response on forums. Since being a Sanders supporter makes it clear that you're lazy, you should appreciate the meme format.

i'm sure a meme told you that.

Voted for Obama. Will vote for Clinton although I wouldn't mind too much if Rubio won if it HAS to be a GOPer.

So which of his dumbass proposals appeals to you most?

a: devaluing college degrees by making public colleges tuition free
b: causing businesses to fail by implementing a $15 minimum wage
c: bringing back illegals who have already been deported and granting amnesty to 11 million+ of them
d: raising taxes to pay for all his crap

Barry-xlovecam 12-04-2015 12:14 PM

Sanders must be scaring the attack dogs :)

galleryseek 12-04-2015 12:27 PM

I know memes make us feel good, but if you want to be taken seriously, avoid them as much as possible.

Now, I agree that Sanders is a piece of socialist shit.

Nothing is "free" when you're stealing it from other people. Especially when those other people (those that run businesses) will pass the cost onto consumers, which hurts the very group(s) of people that Sanders is trying to target (the poor and middle incomers).

His proposals alone will cost 17+ trillion dollars to implement.

And no, I'm not a fucking Trump supporter. Vote nobody 2016.

dyna mo 12-04-2015 12:48 PM

I'm honored you nitiwit trolls are so riled up about my supporting Bernie Sanders that you had to start a thread, dig up some memes, question me about why i support him and show your lack of comprehending what his views are and how they align with modern day AMerica.

it's a ancillary benefit to have you all foaming at the mouth to do so in 1 thread.

ahahah, in the meantime, i couldn't give 1 single fuck who your guy is.

Point taken, though I thought it would be most fitting since Sanders' entire campaign has been a bunch of memes. Still waiting for that tax plan.

FINALLY someone points this out! I'm so effing tired of people spouting political "truths" off memes they saw on Facebook. Hey, though... I guess we're in a crumbling country because the majority is too fucking stupid to get their info beyond social media memes.

And how do you think he's going to implement any of those things? Not gonna happen. All he does is divide people and promise free shit that he can't give merely by taxing the top 1%. The guy is a socialist dirtbag and you and dynamo are idiots for falling for it.

I've spoken against that in the past, but it didn't make sense to mention that on a Bernie Sanders thread; it wasn't relevant.

I'm not a conservative or a liberal. I don't buy into that 2 party bullshit.

dyna mo 12-05-2015 10:36 AM

i don't blame the op and the others for their ignorant, misguided views of Bernie Sanders. the memes guide them.

for the adults that can think for themselves and process information:

Bernie Sanders laid out a forceful argument for democratic socialism, the largely misunderstood political philosophy::

Programs like Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, unemployment insurance, the institution of the 40-hour work week, the abolishment of child labor, and the minimum wage, Sanders said, were all once denounced as socialist. "These programs have become the fabric of our nation and the foundation of the middle class," he said.

"So let me define for you, simply and straightforwardly, what democratic socialism means to me," Sanders told the auditorium full of students, who'd spent hours waiting in the rain to see the presidential hopeful speak. "It means what Franklin Delano Roosevelt said when he fought for guaranteed economic rights for all Americans. And it builds on what Martin Luther King, Jr. said in 1968 when he stated that 'this country has socialism for the rich, and rugged individualism for the poor.'"

"My view of democratic socialism builds on the success of many other countries around the world that have done a far better job than we have in protecting the needs of their working families, their elderly citizens, the children, the sick and the poor."

"Democratic socialism means that we must reform a political system that is corrupt, that we must create an economy that works for all, not just the very wealthy."

I guess you've never heard of the New Deal. But how could you have? You never went to college and it was only a little bit of Wednesday and some of Thursday in mid February in your junior year of high school.

Political systems are inherently corrupt. It's like a doctor going in, removing half of a tumor and finishing up.

Politics, politicians, governments are *not* the answer.

dyna mo 12-05-2015 11:16 AM

i certainly do not need a civics 1 lesson.

heads-up, people are corrupt. not the system.

i.e., your argument: people are *not* the answer.

Not that I want to wander into the middle of this pissing contest, but could you please explain to me how lowering the cost of college tuition devalues a college degree?

The degree is based on the curriculum, and the person's ability to study, understand and pass tests based on said curriculum. I fail to see how much one has to pay to take those courses has any relation to value of the degree for passing said courses.

It's almost like your argument is that the people who can't afford a college education are stupid. So by keeping tuition rates high, only the wealthy (and obviously the only smart people) will be able to earn the degrees. Even if that logic is true, opening the classes up to the poor does not devalue the degree, because the stupid people will still fail the course!

The value of a degree based on education has no relation to the cost of the program.

without the people, there is no system. when most people refer to "government", they refer to it as if it's some sort of monolithic creature, independent of the people who comprise it.. which is false.

all it really is, is a group of individuals who've been delegated rights that we don't believe we (regular citizens) should have.

it's circular logic:
http://www.notbeinggoverned.com/wp-c...e-are-bad1.jpg

dyna mo 12-05-2015 01:53 PM

there's no circular logic. government isn't corrupt. government is made up of people and a document that validates them. that's it. the document isn't corrupt, it's the people that comprise the framework the document creates that are. power corrupts.

but the fact is that isn't always the case, plenty of times through our history and the history of humanity illustrate that government can and have function properly.

But back to your premise, which is government is corrupt, therefor do not vote for Bernie Sanders. i can't agree with that. not voting (for anyone) won't work in the way your are thinking it will, neither fixing the current state of affairs or having a society without government.

if that document allows them to steal from other individuals (taxation and expropriation), it's inherently corrupt. a first principle (aka axiom) is recognizing that it's wrong to initiate or threaten the initiation of force against a person or their property (non-aggression principle). taxation violates the NAP.

so yes, the government and the very document that validates it is fundamentally corrupt.

and the idea that voting in "just the right people" is somehow going to fix the system is naive to say the least.

not to mention that those who are most likely to ascend the hierarchies of government, are those who are most willing to lie, cheat, say and do whatever it takes to lead a system that's fundamentally corrupt.

it's a fucking utopian fantasy that we can achieve virtue and peace from within such a framework.

stateless societies that emphasize property rights, non-aggression and voluntary solutions to problems are ultimately what will lead the way to world peace.
