Flash malware/randomware via AdXpansion network

https://blog.malwarebytes.org/malver...-malvertising/

Porn sites hit by massive malware attack affecting millions of visitors

The sites included DrTuber, Nuvid, Eroprofile, IcePorn and Xbabe. The adverts are hosted and served by the adult ad network AdXpansion and do not need to be clicked on to potentially affect a visitor to a site.

Adxpansion can confirm that these ads were disabled within hours of first being reported but, unfortunately, our compliance efforts were unable to prevent the malvertiser from creating new accounts. We have stopped supporting flash ads completely.

It's funny how a lot of marketing people thought Flash ads to be the future....

Hi Everyone,

We recently experienced an issue with a single advertiser abusing flash in order to spread malware. We have identified this advertiser, and removed him from our network. Also we have since disabled all flash ads and are no longer accepting any flash ads through our network anymore.

If you have any questions or concerns feel free to contact me. We apologize and again, have taken the appropriate steps to ensure that this is no longer an issue.

Adobe trashed Flash with lots of programming bugs, much like Sun/Oracle trashed Java applets with lots of programming bugs. Both would have been ok if the developers was a little more smart than that while writing code.

Flash is dead anyway...
