Fallout 4
Not gaming much at all but this one I'll play with extensive pleasure.
Any other wasteland fans here? :pimp |
Pre-loaded and ready to rock. :2 cents::thumbsup
|
Fallout 2 was my number 1 game of all time. I heard that fallout 3 was nothing in comparison (have not tested since I stopped playing games after high school). If F4 is better maybe I will try it.

Fill me in? I've heard about this and it sounds like my kind of game but I've never seen the gameplay. What's it all aboot?
|
The 4 is for how many years it'll take to finish.
By the way, Fallout 3 was amazing even with a long list of technical issues and some shoddy graphics. |

fallout new vegas on the other hand was a MASTERPIECE check this: http://i.imgur.com/olUvIVr.jpg pay special attention to the storyline sketch, that's where new vegas beats everything, that is what I'm hoping to get from fallout 4 too |

Fallout 3 was shit. However Fallout: New Vegas was great. The people that worked on F:NV where working on original Fallout games. |
2 people saying F3 was great and 2 people saying F3 was terrible :)
|
Playing Fallout 4 would detract from me playing Star Wars Battlefront. I get early access on the 12th, while others will be waiting until the 17th.
|
be sure and use the save button during game play. a lot. you know, on account of bethesda sucking asses. and no telling how steam is going to put it's steamy pile of shit hands all over it.
|
There's an overall critical consensus that Fallout 3 was a good game. It's history now, so don't listen to the cranks saying it sucks.
|
vegas is hard as hell
|
I'm playing through Wasteland 2 and Divinity: Original Sin right now...I will probably purchase Fallout 4 in a month or so...shit I haven't even finished Metal Gear Solid 5 yet.
|
Just bought it looks like its going to be fun
|
no games for me.,
|
Looking forward to playing it
|
Been a fan from the beginning...unfortunately and as usual I now have to upgrade my vid card. Oh well newegg here I come.
|
too vast don't have time :(:(
|
Anyone else thinking twice before they start a game like this, knowing its going to be at least 100 hours? I'm not crazy about Call of Duty, but at least I know it's an in-and-out quick experience.
Not that I don't like slogging through a video game world and exploring every location I can find...but who the fuck has time to do that except people without a job? |
Would love to but I already have ~100 games in my queue I haven't played yet. :P
|
Having played the Fallout series myself since nearly it's inception I'd say with fair certainty I'm an expert on it. In my opinion it's one of the best series of games ever made.
Haven't played New Vegas yet though. But FO 1 & 2, FO Tactics, Fallout 3, I've played all those to absolute death. |
Well ive played for a few hours and im not a fan i dont think im going to play the rest of the game.
|
oughhh crap(( now i just dont have time for it ;((
|
I played F3, never found it interesting

I just read some more reviews and some hardcore F1/2 fans were claiming that F3/4 were mostly just shooters with some rpg element. Not as much of a hardcore rpg/character as F1/2. They said F3 was a decent game, but very different style :) |

Hopefully tonight will be better. I only get to play for 10 hours total game time before the game is released to the public on the 17th, but I get to keep all my game progress. |
I've played both Fallout 3 and New Vegas for many hours and I've enjoyed both very much!
New Vegas seemed a bit more polished in my opinion. So far 4 looks great, the customization for weapons and and armor are endless! You can tinker with them for hours. |
Haven't played it but looks like a great game series. I'll prolly give it a try. ;)
|
due to the crazy workload i've assigned myself i only have about 20 minutes logged, though my gf's been having a blast
was able to pull off some leet hax and get 16 of those sold out nuka cola quantums from target though leet hax being target temporarily allowed online pre-ordering for in-store pickup in west coast locations a couple of hours before the stores opened. pretty much after it was all but completely sold out on the east coast that + taskrabbit.com = win ended up paying about $12 per bottle w/ shipping/taskrabbit and i let the taskrabbit chick keep 1. they're going for > $50 on ebay, but i don't intend to sell any sorry west hollywood, there's gotta be at least a couple of you around here in my defense i could have gone full douchebag and exploited this across multiple locations in a big way, but i stopped at 1 order for 17 of them. wouldn't have been fair to the people showing up at 8am for what was already ridiculously under-stocked http://i.imgur.com/VqCjmpO.jpg |
Been digging fallout 4 so far...
|
I got the armor and the minigun from the helicopter crashed on the roof of the building, but that big creature in the street with the bandits keeps killing me.

But when Bethesda took up the reigns you just knew things were going to change. Yes, FO 3 was much more of a shooter, but still plenty of dialogue interaction, plenty of choices to make, plenty of quests and things to figure out and investigate. I'm playing New Vegas right now and so far it seems to be a step up from 3 in all departments, including more character development. So far I like it. When I want that original feel experience I fire up one of the old originals on my old backup computer I keep for that very reason and 'relive' to my heart's content. If FO 4 is a step up from NV it's going to be a great game. One of the biggest things about every Fallout version is the massive amount of game time you get for your money. These are not mere shooters you can race through in six hour blasting everything in sight. I love a game where some of your choices come with consequences, often dire ones. |
So if I've never played the games before, can I start with Fallout 4? Or should I work through the other games first?
As for Battlefront, I really wish there was a single player campaign mode. While I enjoy Capture the Flag, I also dig a good storyline and some solo gameplay. |

Fallout I and II are my all time favorite games, they may have the timeless, artistic quality that's far beyond any other PC game I've ever played, the intense atmosphere, plot, characters, unique artwork, all around feel is one of a kind.
Playing them was some of the most amazing sci-fi or overall literal experience I've ever had, including that you're directly involved in the middle of the story. It's likely that I haven't ever played any game released after 2003 or so, perhaps I can one day find time and plug off trying out no. 3 and no. 4. |
Installing right now
