Micro payments, adult?

Well.

I will be selling a movie, many moons from now. I've decided that the most likely pricepoint will be $4.99.

Now, how the heck am I suppose to get payments, when there are no micro payment processors for adult??

Maybe direct bank payments?? Or something like Trustly, or at least bitcoin will work.

I really hope direct bank transfer services(like Trustly) becomes bigger.

It's so easy to use. I really like it.

CurrentlySober 11-04-2015 12:27 PM

What I used to do was to use verotel - Setup as folows. Each movie / clip was uploaded to its own folder with a thanks for purchasing, click here to download page.

I then made that folder just that folder a subset of my main site - meaning I sold 3 days access (enough time to download) to that folder alone, via verotel for $7.99 non recurring. Do each clip in its own folder and you can charge what you want for access to whatever folder you want. All work independent of each other.

Hope that makes sense... I was selling at 7.99 but you could choose $4.99 or whatever you want and each clip sold goes into the same pot (account) so it soon adds up to enough to trigger payout...

Not exactly an elegant purpose built micro-paymet solution, but simple enough to implement and simple enough for the punters to use and pay with :)

Thanks for the info CS.

And Verotel are reliable and pays on time??

Lets just say when I WAS using them, up till 2012 when I retired. They were FANTASTIC. However, I suggest you do your research on here first, as I have not used them for a couple of years

Right? Let's make one. There was a company on here that made a DC, but I don't think it took off. I've entertained the idea of buying it from them, infrastructure and all.

Why not speak to these guys:

https://securionpay.com/

They have a very versatile API that allows you to do just about anything.

If all you'll be selling is one movie then any payment processor will do. If you are selling multiple movies you'll most likely need product codes for each movie OR use a similar style of payment that cam sites use with Epoch or ask them about any PPV solutions they might have.

Hi,

We process micro payments in Europe, for US only over $10.

Not sure about the Geo you're targeting...

We have a minimum transaction amount of USD $2.95. $4.99 would be no problem at all. Send me an email and I can make you an offer. :thumbsup:2 cents:

Hi Maxjohan,

Thit is not a problem for us at all :). We already have partners that process low volume transactions and its flawless. We will just have to calculate things properly to make sure you are left with a healthy margin :).

Contact me to discuss it in details.

RazorSharpe - Very true! Thank you very much for mentioning. Indeed our API allows any payment scenario you guys want to create at any time.

We have just released our brand new setup process https://securionpay.com/setup (it is totally paper free set up for Ecommerce; high risk still requires some papers flying due to its nature but we hope to eliminate that one day too).

Btw, i guess i did not mention that right now you do not need developers anymore to integrate our platform. Everyone, even without tech knowledge, can do it him/herself almost instantly. :thumbsup

Yes. One. The thing is, it's not even porn. Only "porn" will be part of the title. Some porn stuff in the movie too. But generally, the movie will be more mainstream than porn.

I don't understand.. We have $1 price points with all major adult billers. The issue of micropayments in adult is actually *less* of a problem than mainstream.

In mainstream Amazon and Paypal offer 5% and $0.05 per transaction for anything under $10. Anything over that it's 2.9% + $0.30 a transaction.

In adult it's straight %%, so it doesn't really matter what the sale price is.

PornAddict 11-05-2015 07:45 PM

If it's downloadable, the solution is easy.

Use CCBill for processing mixed with Phantom Cart for the shopping cart. I use that on my jimmyhooligan.com site to sell my videos (instead of a conventional members area).

Yeah. You are probably right. I saw that yesterday, on Epoch website. 15% transaction fee, then decreases. Depending on transaction volume.

Probably the same with CCbill?? Anyway, I'm leaning to go with Epoch or Ccbill for this. Any inputs on them??

Only reason I'm going with them, if possible. Is that I have a hard time forgiving when it comes to certain things. And if I join some unknown biller, and they take my money. I know for sure, I will be bitter about it for the rest of my life.

That's just the way I am.

Yeah if you want to actually get paid every single time, then go with ccbill/epoch. CCBill is a little bit cheaper, but Epoch offers Paypal. To us, Paypal is a deal sealer and worth the extra expense. Also heard good things about Segpay.

Hi Maxjohan,

From what i see you have 3 concerns:

1. To be able to do exactly what you want in regards to pricing and transaction amount - lets call it simply Flexibility
2. Double digit fees for the processing service (15%)
3. To be sure you are always get paid and your money will not be "taken" by a processor.

What you need to fix all the 3 things at once is your own merchant account with a proper gateway. You do whatever you want and how you want it in regards to the set up, you pay around 5% or less and you get paid directly by the acquiring bank to your account without any middle man. The payouts comes weekly with just one week delay, so your cash flow looks better.

Btw, this is exactly what we offer https://securionpay.com/setup

Alright, I got it now. What you offer. I didn't understand it fully before. So I get my own merchant account? Your service is providing me with the tools, to make transactions on my own, is that correct?

I just feel, CCbill or Epoch would be a safe bet. But with my own merchant account, do I not need to take care of billing support and chargebacks and stuff. On my own then??

Yes. Paypal is a huge +. Thanks for the info.

1.Work with well known processors with a long history - rule number one.
2.Avoid newcomers working from his bedroom - rule number two.

What we provide is a package: merchant account, gateway and acquiring back (we can also give you a bank account). We make sure you get the best payment experiences and pass it on to your end-users via our embedded form or Checkout pop up (demo: https://securionpay.com/docs/tutorials/checkout).

I recommend Checkout that comes with multiple functionalities like Remember me, One clicks or Xsales. Also it convert best due to its simplicity and most friendly user experience.

We will take care of your billing needs so you can focus entirely on creating and providing great products for your clients.

Contact us directly and we are more than happy to offer you a full presentation of our API and everything that comes with it.

Greetings!

NETbilling can certainly help if you are a startup or already processing in the USA, or outside of the US, processing $20k per month.

Let us know if we can be of assistance.

Thank you, Mitch Farber

On securionpay and ccbill or epoch (i don't remember which of them) you must pay 500$ annual fee mastercard fee.

It is called VOD ( we run one for years) and all good adult processors will process it, only the lazy ones will not.

There are many ways to get these micro payments you just need to google it. :)

Processing a single movie at 4.95 a pop....20 K per month. Is it the new James Bond movie:1orglaugh:1orglaugh?

pornguy 04-29-2020 02:25 PM

Noticed so far no one has mentioned paying Visa and Mastercard.

You going to need to sell a LOT of copies of that video

All processors built these into their fees, so no need to mention it, it is obvious :2 cents:

It depends. Some include, some add $500-$1000/yearly on top.

They are not built in but merchants pay them as a separate yearly fee if they are a high risk/adult merchant.

SpicyM 01-07-2024 02:37 PM

I wonder if he still needs a payment processor after 8 years :error

jscott 01-07-2024 10:36 PM

Old ass thread, but still relevant is using Bitcoin for micropayments via Lightning Network, which would be instant & nearly free transactions. Or for BTC check https://btcpayserver.org (I believe no 2nd layer available, yet)
