China says "STOP"
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn...2003Mar20.html
Regardless of how I feel about this war, I just can't help but notice the delicious irony of China's impassioned plea. Is this the same China that killed thousands of Tibetan monks? or how about using tanks to crush unarmed students? or how about killing religious dissidents and "harvesting" their organs? |
Yup, we're coming for you next china, you better watch your ass because it will be taped.

China would also fuck the US up to hell if US did this to china.
They have 10s of not 100s of nuclear weapons pointed towards washington and major cities in the US. US will never mess around with the Chinese. not now , not in a 100 years. |

Fuck China. They've got a repressive regime too. The young people over there will eventually do the job of taking them out too.

Another good reason for a ABM defenses. However even asside from that the US is unlikely to seek a war with China. China is too important a trading partner and its foolishness to get into a war with a country that over 1 billion people. |

But seriously...we don't need to drop the bombs on these ignorant towel heads we just need to make sure every citizen has shelter, plumbing, food, a computer with an internet connection. Give the kids a playstation 2, some Skechers and some American pop musics and I think that they'll all realize that they'd rather have material possessions instead of all this fighting :thumbsup |

China is a good country these days.
You would be surprised how motivated they are in developing free market and LATER even more freedom to their people They are slowly building their huge country into an economic giant. And any war would ruin it all, so it's out of the question. |

China is some scarey cracker, politically and MILITARILY SPEAKING. Iraq, Iran, N. Korea, and the like are just fly's on the wall. China DOES have the ability to inflict a world war, imo. Thus I am very concerned at their position in all this.
I wish we we're more concerned publically with their aresonal. Just my:2 cents: |
Dont those fuckers still kill their own babies over there?

I think we should spend the next ten years trying to figure out how to convert the shitty Chinese traffic. There will be more of them online than us.
If we cant convert it THEN we should go to war. |

China has never been a war-like country.
They have been attacked throughout history, but not very often have they been the aggressors. Most of chinas "wrong doing" happened within their own country. The only exception to this is Taibet. Taiwan used to belong to China and they want it back. Once/If they take Taiwan its highly unlikely they will try to expand. They have thousands of years of history suggesting they won't. US-China are huge trade partners, but not on good terms because 2 issues: N.Korea is Americans enemy, but they are China's ally. This is a problem. Taiwan is Americans ally, but China wants to re-claim Taiwan. Another problem. Once those issues are solved China-US relations will run alot smoother. I imagine things will get tense like the cold war with Russia but eventually America & China will be fine. |

Out of political convenience, the Taiwan alliance will crumble cuz the US won't want to piss of its giant factory...called CHINA. |

Tell that to the Dalai Lama who saw Tibet swallowed by the Chinese in 1950. Tell that to the Vietnamese who got invaded under the Southern Sung Dynasty. Tell that to the Japanese who repelled a Chinese invasion during the Yuan [mongol] dynasty. [Incidentally, this period saw the birth of the concept of Kamikaze--the Divine Wind...a term reserved for the storms that battered the Chinese navy as they tried to invade Japan] |
