They are trying to pin some kind of a security failure on Hillary. We have embassies in two hundred and sixty countries, most with multiple locations. Security at these embassies is handled by a odd combination of the State Department, the CIA (in every embassy), the US military (US Marines in every embassy), and even in part by Congress who controls the budget. In hind sight it's very easy to say "Why didn't you add more security" but the reality of it is where do you add to security? Didn't Congress deny a large percent of the State Department's budget - Why aren't we questioning them?

Four years, millions of dollars, eight investigations and.... We still have no proof of any wrong doing on the part of anyone. This was a terrorist attack at one of thousands of locations the US has across the world; Short of stationing a battalion of US Marines in Benghazi there is nothing anyone could have done.

Obviously they are trying to drag this out to make Hillary look bad and / or catch her in a lie. This is fucking Whitewater all over again.

And it's not working. Hillary isn't looking bad over this, they aren't catching her in any lies. The longer this goes on the worse it looks for the Republican party. But seems to be what the Republican party does - instead of doing it's fucking job, it wants to make the other side look bad.

Whitewater is a perfect example of this. They put the President of the United States into an impossible position which would have made him look bad no matter what, and they did it ONLY to make him look bad. It was pure bullshit.

Where were all of these crusaders with a hearing when George Bush lost 3000 American citizens in the heart of New York city? But that's my point - Is the Secretary of State in charge of security for all of the embassies? The President is in charge of the Federal Aviation Administration; Why didn't we blame 9/11 on President Bush? Did we have eight investigations into the failure of the head of the FAA to determine if they were at fault? Did anyone get fired over that?

We had a terrorist attack in a country at an Embassy where there was little security and only four Americans died and we want heads to roll, yet with 9/11 three thousand Americans died and no one from the CIA, the military, the FAA, or the TSA was questioned in public hearings no less did anyone loose their job.

This was a terrorist attack on an embassy. NOTHING would have prevented this.

Yesterday they had a correspondent talk about how wit Biden out and the Benghazi thing looking bad for the republicans there is really nothing but a miracle for Bernie standing between her and the nomination and it looks like the republicans are going to nominate either Trump or Carson. Don't forget that is all mostly a bunch of high paid politicians that are fucking around like this. They are paid to do their jobs even if the job they are doing is silly.

Instead of taking concrete steps to enhance the safety and security of our diplomatic corps overseas, the Select Committee on Benghazi continues to squander millions of dollars and has nothing to show for it other than a partisan attack against Secretary Clinton and her campaign for president.

They have been fucking around like this for 533 days, and counting. This is longer than the investigation of Pearl Harbour, Iran Contra and the Kennedy Assassination investigations.

You of all people, should be really pissed off that they are spending so much time and money going after Hillary, especially now that a couple of them have admitted that the committee was formed not to get to the truth, but to damage her credibility and chances of winning the presidency.

When Congress has an investigation of this scope, it's not Congressmen and Congresswomen doing the investigating. Their staff doesn't do it; Their staff already has jobs and they are already busy. So they hire outside consultants to do the work? So they hire twenty people, or thirty people or whatever, and now suddenly these people need office space to work out of, computers....

I am just guessing of course.

Our tax dollars also paid for an investigation into the IRS. And it was just released today that there was no wrong doing there. This was just another attempt to make the President to look bad. It's childish.

This is accurate. They tend to assign a special investigator and give them a budget. That person the hires people, pays for for those people's expenses etc. Of course it's the government so they grossly overpay for everything.

Knowing after that it was a terrorist attack is like knowing 9/11 was a terrorist attack as the planes were hitting the twin towers. Was there info that 9/11 was likely, was that information delivered to Bush or people in his office?

How much money did that cost us? And what did it accomplish? All it did was embarrass the President and distract everyone.

and the before/after the attack has nothing to do with this part of the investigation, which revealed Clinton lied to the American people about the attack. And she lied about knowing it was a terrorist attack in order to politicize it and downplay it in an election year for BO.

and she also withheld information from congress, who 8 days after the attack asked for ALL communications from her. it took her 3+ years to provide that, perhaps this investigation wouldn't have cost $4 million if Hills was not a disingenuous entrenched career politician. but she is and this investigation proves that. she's not fit to be president of the American people.

I think we need an investigation of the Benghazi committee's waste of tax dollars and their attempts to raise campaign funds from it.
