republicans are really looking stupid over the Benghazi thing..

They just keep digging themselves deeper and deeper and are actually now helping Hillary's campaign. After 11 hours of questioning Hillary, they can't even say what they gained or learned anything new..

Pretty much the only significant thing that even came out from all the emails, was proof of George Bush and Tony Boair agreeing to invade Iraq a year before they claimed Sadam broke the UN sanctions.they have wasted millions of tax payer dollars and have nothing at all to account t for it and now it's just made Hillary look better because it's obvious they are just using the committee as a political tool.

The idiots can't even elect a new leader of the house and pretty much everything they touch, they fuck up. This is what happens when dumb people elect other dumb people.. You get the current GOP..

When do we get to vote for "2015 Troll of the Year" ?

dyna mo 10-23-2015 11:18 AM

certainly you are trolling because we've all learned from the hearings that Hills knew the day of bombing that it was a terrorist attack.

dyna mo 10-23-2015 11:24 AM

Republicans released a new email at the Benghazi hearing written by former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to her daughter Chelsea Clinton late on the night of the attacks in Benghazi.

In the email, Mrs. Clinton tells her daughter ? who used the email pseudonym ?Diane Reynolds? ? that the attacks were undertaken by an ?Al Queda-like group.?

Republicans seized on the mother-daughter exchange as proof that Mrs. Clinton misled the American people, failing to make clear that the attacks were actually a premeditated act of terrorism.

The private email to Chelsea Clinton, U.S. Rep. Jim Jordan (R., Ohio) said, was at odds with the message in the official statement put out by the State Department that same night under Mrs. Clinton?s name. In that statement, Mrs. Clinton made reference to an anti-Islam video that had sparked violent protests elsewhere in the region.

This Benghazi thing is pure bullshit. PURE BULLSHIT.

They are trying to pin some kind of a security failure on Hillary. We have embassies in two hundred and sixty countries, most with multiple locations. Security at these embassies is handled by a odd combination of the State Department, the CIA (in every embassy), the US military (US Marines in every embassy), and even in part by Congress who controls the budget. In hind sight it's very easy to say "Why didn't you add more security" but the reality of it is where do you add to security? Didn't Congress deny a large percent of the State Department's budget - Why aren't we questioning them?

Four years, millions of dollars, eight investigations and.... We still have no proof of any wrong doing on the part of anyone. This was a terrorist attack at one of thousands of locations the US has across the world; Short of stationing a battalion of US Marines in Benghazi there is nothing anyone could have done.

Obviously they are trying to drag this out to make Hillary look bad and / or catch her in a lie. This is fucking Whitewater all over again.

And it's not working. Hillary isn't looking bad over this, they aren't catching her in any lies. The longer this goes on the worse it looks for the Republican party. But seems to be what the Republican party does - instead of doing it's fucking job, it wants to make the other side look bad.

Whitewater is a perfect example of this. They put the President of the United States into an impossible position which would have made him look bad no matter what, and they did it ONLY to make him look bad. It was pure bullshit.

dyna mo 10-23-2015 11:35 AM

no, they're pinning a cover-up spin of the event on her. which she did.

and i'm all for tax dollars spent on uncovering coverups of terrorist attacks on American soil.

Hills: "we know the attack in Libya had nothing to do with the film. It was a planned attack, not a protest."

At a House Select Committee on Benghazi hearing Thursday, Rep. Jim Jordan introduced e-mails that show then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton calling the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi, Libya terrorism to family and the Egyptian prime minister.

Jordan then questioned why she told Americans the Benghazi attack was a response to an infamous YouTube clip mocking Muslims but e-mailed it was a terrorist attack to the Egyptian prime minister and family.

"You can tell the Egyptian prime minister it’s a terrorist attack, but you can’t tell your own people," Jordan scolded Clinton.

they don't just look stupid.........

It's so transparent what they're doing. Hillary just sat there, ate their shit and asked for seconds. She gave very clear answers to stupid questions made by people who shouldn't need it explained to them how the state department works and the Secretary's role in the chain. Witch hunt if ever there was one.

It felt more like a murder trial than a hearing, and every questioner was smug and combative. Fuck them, they didn't get shit because there isn't shit. Hillary Clinton didn't attack the embassy.

Where were all of these crusaders with a hearing when George Bush lost 3000 American citizens in the heart of New York city? What about all of the other embassy attacks, many of them during Republican administrations? Fuck them. They're just swinging wildly at anything they can because they're sore about losing two elections, and this is the best shot they have at taking taking Hillary down before she keeps another Republican president from getting in the White House and fucking up the economy or starting new needless wars -- or both.

Suck my nuts Trey Gowdy.

Yea, I don't even like Hillary but at this point if she gets the nomination I'll vote for her just so she can piss off the right even more.

I got that number from Hillary's testimony yesterday; Perhaps she said we have two hundred and sixty embassies in total. But that's my point - Is the Secretary of State in charge of security for all of the embassies? And if your answer is yes, do you really think the Secretary of State of visited all 300 embassies, and sat through countless meetings coordinating the CIA, US Military, State Department, and Congress? Really?

Why aren't we holding Congress responsible for failing to give Secretary of State Clinton the budget she asked for?

The President is in charge of the Federal Aviation Administration; Why didn't we blame 9/11 on President Bush? Did we have eight investigations into the failure of the head of the FAA to determine if they were at fault? Did anyone get fired over that?

We had a terrorist attack in a country at an Embassy where there was little security and only four Americans died and we want heads to roll, yet with 9/11 three thousand Americans died and no one from the CIA, the military, the FAA, or the TSA was questioned in public hearings no less did anyone loose their job.

This was a terrorist attack on an embassy. NOTHING would have prevented this.

You know things have turned when Fox news is even crowning Hillary. Yesterday they had a correspondent talk about how wit Biden out and the Benghazi thing looking bad for the republicans there is really nothing but a miracle for Bernie standing between her and the nomination and it looks like the republicans are going to nominate either Trump or Carson. The correspondent basically said it is her race to lose now.

The ONE thing that I'd like to know...and that nobody in the media is even asking:

How is this costing over 4 MILLION dollars? WTF?

It's a group of Congressmen who are already there doing their so-called "job" sucking on the public teat.
They ask some questions of Hillary and other current and former govt. employees.

This shouldn't cost one penny.

Only the Federal Govt. full of crooked bureaucrats could figure out a way to spend 4 MILLION dollars extra on people who are already there getting paid to do one of their jobs (a Congressional investigation as part of their duty of oversight).

When is the last time any of you spent 4 MILLION dollars on anything?
And if you had 4 million dollars in the bank...wouldn't you be kinda considered "well off" if not downright wealthy?

But somehow...the crooks in Washington D.C. have figured a way to funnel out over 4 million extra dollars out of the taxpayers pockets to ask some questions (which is supposed to be part of their normal jobs).

Did they have to fly everyone first class to Hawaii to a 5 star resort for a year to ask the questions?
Where did the 4 million dollars go? And what did they spend it on?

I would have to go out and buy a couple of really nice homes and a garage full of sports cars and STILL have money left over to spend $4,000,000

Sort of like when they spent a couple of BILLION dollars on the HealthCare website.
Who does that? How in the fucking hell do you spend that much money to build a website?
Well, you start with unlimited funds. And then you outsource the work to your crony's and give them outrageous budgets to do the work.

$4,000,000 EXTRA for a group of Congressmen to sit in a Congressional building and ask questions of other govt. employees.
Only in Washington D.C. :(

Hi Robbie,

Don't forget that is all mostly a bunch of high paid politicians that are fucking around like this. They are paid to do their jobs even if the job they are doing is silly.

Instead of taking concrete steps to enhance the safety and security of our diplomatic corps overseas, the Select Committee on Benghazi continues to squander millions of dollars and has nothing to show for it other than a partisan attack against Secretary Clinton and her campaign for president.

They have been fucking around like this for 533 days, and counting. This is longer than the investigation of Pearl Harbour, Iran Contra and the Kennedy Assassination investigations.

You of all people, should be really pissed off that they are spending so much time and money going after Hillary, especially now that a couple of them have admitted that the committee was formed not to get to the truth, but to damage her credibility and chances of winning the presidency.

Your taxes have paid for this.

This brings up a really good point. I'm going to try to guess at the answer, although I honestly do not know.

When Congress has an investigation of this scope, it's not Congressmen and Congresswomen doing the investigating. Their staff doesn't do it; Their staff already has jobs and they are already busy. So they hire outside consultants to do the work? So they hire twenty people, or thirty people or whatever, and now suddenly these people need office space to work out of, computers....

I am just guessing of course.

This is accurate. They tend to assign a special investigator and give them a budget. That person the hires people, pays for for those people's expenses etc. Of course it's the government so they grossly overpay for everything.

4 million is cheap.. When republicans went on their last Clinton rampage, they cost the tax payers 40 million via the Kenneth Starr investigations.

It's time and time again that right wing wastes countless tax dollars on political agenda witch hunt.

Democrats didn't do this to Bush over all those embassy attacks or even 9/11. Sure there were investigations but nothing like this. There were also Republicans sitting on the committees along with Democrats unlike with this Benghazi bullshit.

How the fuck did a investigation into a real estate investments turn into perjury charge when the President lied about getting a blow job? How in the world is a blow job in the Oval Office related to their investigation? They were just trolling, looking for something to nail him on. I didn't pay much attention to politics then, but it was a disgrace.

How much money did that cost us? And what did it accomplish? All it did was embarrass the President and distract everyone.

Did it ever occur to anyone that the people who pushed the Whitewater investigation are directly responsible for 9/11? Perhaps if the President was less distracted by this investigation and the resulting attempt at impeachment perhaps we Clinton would have ordered that strike on Bin Laden.

"Let's just put the president under oath and ask him questions about his sex life in front of his wife until we catch him in a lie". That was such bullshit.

Hillary is a subject of a witch hunt, George gets a free pass.

"george getting a free pass" has nothing to do with anything. it doesn't make sense to exclaim you can't investigate this because 15 years ago you didn't investigate that.

and the before/after the attack has nothing to do with this part of the investigation, which revealed Clinton lied to the American people about the attack. And she lied about knowing it was a terrorist attack in order to politicize it and downplay it in an election year for BO.

and she also withheld information from congress, who 8 days after the attack asked for ALL communications from her. it took her 3+ years to provide that, perhaps this investigation wouldn't have cost $4 million if Hills was not a disingenuous entrenched career politician. but she is and this investigation proves that. she's not fit to be president of the American people.

Louisiana Republicans blame President Obama for Hurricane Katrina response ? even though the storm occurred more than 3 YEARS before he took office

according to the poll, that statistic is from all Louisianians polled, not just republicans.

Nope, you missed the part where that particular question was directed to republicans.

Would you describe yourself as very liberal, somewhat liberal, moderate, somewhat
conservative, or very conservative?

Very liberal........................................... ...........3%

Somewhat liberal.................................5%

Moderate.......................................... ..11%

Somewhat conservative..................................38%

Very Conservative................................... 44%

Do something fun today instead.

What kind of person wakes up on a Saturday morning asking what kind of person wakes up on a Saturday morning calling other people stupid?

i didn't miss that at all. that doesn't differentiate the answer to the other question. if it did, it would also show who liberals blame, but it doesn't, and that's because the question was asked of all those polled.

So you're saying overall in Louisiana 82% of the population is conservative?

no, i'm saying it's not accurate to discern from that poll that only republicans polled that way. if that could have been [accurately] done, then ppp would have done so as they are left-leaning.

You can't have it both ways. You can't say it was a general poll of all Louisianans when 82% of respondents call themselves conservative unless you're also claiming 82% of all Louisianans are conservative.
