Is this real or a 3D render?
 

I started messing around with Maya a couple weeks ago. This shit is really fun! It's time consuming as fuck, but it's fun to create shit from scratch. I'm still playing around with the trial version, don't think I'm going to drop the amount of money they want for the licensed version. Does anyone know of any good (and cheaper) alternatives?

This took me about 6 hours to model and 2 hours to render. :thumbsup

I designed the label in Photoshop and added it as a texture in Maya.

Not bad for a newbie...but that's around 1996 level as far as realism goes.

Not too shabby - full-size really looks rendered (especially the black caps)...but the downsized version looks quite realistic.
