Saw The Martian last night

It was a great movie. :thumbsup

Matt Damon nailed the role and actually made the movie. Not sure anyone else would have been a good fit for the role. Highly recommended, but save your money on the 3D, it's not really a 3D movie.

Darkhorse 10-08-2015 12:11 PM

Can't wait to see this myself, hoping to get there this weekend.

Jman 10-08-2015 12:13 PM

Agreed 100% with you. Great movie, great acting.

Tom-LifeSelector 10-09-2015 09:10 AM

It is in 3D, but the 3D itself doesn't bring much if you ask me. Except for maybe a couple of scenes, you'd get the same experience without 3D.

pornguy 10-09-2015 01:19 PM

Saw it with the family and loved it as well.

They can't get all the details from the book into a movie only 2+ hours long. The movies good, the book is better.

just a punk 01-13-2016 04:29 AM

Finally saw it on yesterday's night. The movie is not bad at all. Course if you watch it like a fantasy movie which based on comics. I mean you have to completely "forget" all your knowledge of physics mechanics, thermodynamics and strength of materials while watching the movie and then you will enjoy it :)

Also it's funny that the States have asked China to help. The only rocket they have is Changzheng 2F and it's just a copy of Soviet R-7 (Soyuz 11A511 mod) which was made and launched in 1966 :)

LetterTwenty7 01-13-2016 04:43 AM

Did you have a good laugh? :1orglaugh

HeadPimp 01-13-2016 05:16 AM

Still don't understand how it won best comedy.

CaptainHowdy 01-13-2016 05:45 AM

It was quite funny ...

MikeAMS 01-13-2016 05:48 AM

Ofcourse everyone has his own opinion.. but who thinks this should be in the overall top 3 for 2015?

I personally loved it!

seeandsee 01-13-2016 06:33 AM

I don't like it, and make me smile few times, deserved comedy award lol

you could suck the life out of anything can't you? it's a fuckin movie. You want realistic? go watch the ISS channel for 6 hours straight and report how amazingly accurate it was for you.

There are many much more realistic sci-fi stories. E.g. "2001: A Space Odyssey" which was filmed in 60s of the past century. Both the book and the movie, as well as their sequels are flowless. Also as I said above, "The Martian" was very good and it was a pleasure to watch it (a modern version of Robinson Crusoe). You just have to watch it as a comics-based blockbuster and not consider it as a sci-fi story.

Lykos 01-13-2016 07:57 AM

Going to check it out soon !

Just watched it last night, really enjoyed it but how the fuck did it win "Best Comedy" at the Golden Globes? Movie was funny yes but it wasn't a Comedy by any means.

Matt-ADX 01-13-2016 09:26 AM

I liked it overall, but the very very end is so dumb. I won't spoiler it for others but enough was enough for me by that point.
