I seriously doubt it was him. That guy was less broad in the shoulders, and had a flapping double chin. Plus, he was wearing thick glasses - which blurred much of his upper face.

Saddam has a much thicker torso, and I've never seen him read from a script before (let alone stumble over the words several times).

Even if it was him, which I doubt, it could have been pre-recorded.

You gotta love that Monty Python style music and graphic they use.

You know he has used body doubles for the past 15 years on TV appearances. He's known to have up to 15 lookalikes in his employment.

Look at this guy and then compare to the pics of Saddam recent. This guy has noticeably different features and looks older also.

only simple public appearances, walking in streets etc, but never speaking.

his voice is very distinct.

This is from MSNBC - There is talk at the Pentagon that Saddam Hussein might be dead, and he is being represented by a double.

I also am watching a video report that is talking about 1 or 2 men that may have been surgically altared to be body doubles for Saddam.
