Didn't see any of them due to very poor reviews they all got. Movies have really gone downhill. Tv shows rock

jscott 10-06-2015 12:36 PM

Dont watch "Air" ughhhhh sucky!

MikeAMS 10-06-2015 12:45 PM

they all sucked

enjoyed fast furious 7

Rob 10-06-2015 01:16 PM

A movie that was so bad it actually turned out to be decent was Turbo Kid. It was just so over the top camp and gore, it wasn't all that bad. Even though at the end I sat there and thought, "WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH?!?!".

I watched Fast & Furious 7 over the weekend. Terrible. Here's the plot : Family, family, family, family, brother bad, family, boom crash, family, you'll alway be my brother, drive away into bright sun, tear, the end.

To the movie's credit, they did a fantastic fucking job filling Paul Walker's shoes with his brothers, some CG, and some careful editing. If you don't pay attention you might not notice. And to the filmmakers credit, they handled it respectfully and did so in a way that honoured Walker's art as an actor, by using only his performance, and never once trying to fake it. Bravo to the artists and technicians.

I never understand how anyone can watch any of those F&F movies. Those are such trash imo. Just action packed with same old story line different scenes each time.

If I had choice of movies between A.) F&F only, or B.) none at all, i would be the most fit, and biggest book enthusiast in the world!!! :1orglaugh

Far-L 10-06-2015 08:06 PM

I was thoroughly entertained by that Mad Max reboot. I would rather see a good bad movie than a bad good movie any day of the week.

Mad Max started as true grindhouse and the latest installment was true to its roots.:2 cents:

Seriously, I still haven't watched any of them. I always feel like I need to go back and watch them in a row, and I just don't have the energy for that shit.

I watched first one and that was enough for me, watching the trailer for any of them is more than I can handle.

EddyTheDog 10-06-2015 09:14 PM

Mad Max was OK - It needed some Tina Turner, but that's just me...

Imagine her standing on that truck - Riding it like a chariot with her huge whip.....

DraX 10-06-2015 11:19 PM

Haha the more low quality shit they show this year the more mad max is growing on me. In december before star wars I will be all: I watched Mad Max and it fucking rocked.

Next in line is The Martian, I'm hoping it will be the best so far this year. :1orglaugh

Haven't watched black mass and it looked like being promising. :1orglaugh

Was it really that bad ?!

Like someone else mentioned, movies are going downhill in lightspeed.

CPA37710T 10-07-2015 12:12 AM

movies nowadays don't even try!... i can't believe the levels of CGI bullshit.

Jurassic world was more like a remake of the old one

EngineCash 10-07-2015 12:52 AM

Mad Max is great movie... :) For all the rest I agree... :thumbsup

davidclickpapa 10-07-2015 12:54 AM

all of them?

MrBottomTooth 10-07-2015 02:16 AM

Mad max was great. I liked Ex Machina simply because I went in with no expectations and had no idea what the movie was about before watching it. Nice little sci-fi story.

Seen terminator last week. Can't decide if I hated it worse than salvation or not.

I always like threads about movies :)

Here are some that I find worth watching:

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl - quite an interesting way to tell a story of a girl who is dying of cancer, and her new friends.

Little Boy - the 8yo boy has the will and power to end WWII in a rather special way in order to bring his father home

The Age of Adaline - if you are into romance and/or drama, this might be a good film for you

Woman in Gold - is it possible to bring a very valuable painting home after many years?

That is it for now, but I do agree that TV shows are excellent, and maybe better than movies this year. I just finished the first season of Narcos. Escobar used to make 60M per day selling cocaine, but he became greedy, started acting like god. Very good acting, and the story is amazing.

deonbell 10-07-2015 02:49 AM

Kingsman was really bad. Chappie and Selma looked really bad, But I'm not even gonna watch them.

I predict Ghostbusters as being the 2016 bomb.

Kingsman was great - After 14 years on here though I can see why the British humor might have gone over the US audiences head...

XMaster 10-07-2015 03:02 AM

I liked MadMax & ExMachina.

Pryda 10-07-2015 03:58 AM

Can't take you seriously if you say Mad Max sucks, that was probably the best movie of the year.

Jurassic World wasn't bad either. Terminator was ok, could have been better.

Caldo 10-07-2015 04:44 AM

MadMax is not bad at all :thumbsup

Yea, I don't know much about British humor. I like it when that princess told the hero dude he could do her in the butt hole if he saved the world.

nico-t 10-07-2015 09:22 AM

ex machina was ok, nothing special. But the vibe of the movie was pretty cool.
terminator genysis was entertaining

Robbie 10-07-2015 09:26 AM

Worst movie had to be "Unfriended". I had no desire to watch it...but was dragged to see it.
Had to be the tiniest budget in history. The whole movie was basically watching phone, tablet, and computer screens while people messaged back and forth and one by one were killed.

Horrible.

Human Centipede 3

and I loved 1 and 2...

HugeWood 10-07-2015 03:35 PM

Sicario seems like it might be good.

Rotten Tomatoes.... I'm not sure how anyone can take them serious. They rated Hercules something like 2% you would think the movie would have to have been shot on a cell phone with bad everything to get a score that low. But it was actually a really good movie, way better than the other version that has The Rock. Yet they gave that version a good rating...

wehateporn 10-07-2015 03:46 PM

These ones shouldn't be on the 'sucked' list

jurassic world
mad max
terminator genisys

Rotten Tomatoes doesn't rate anything.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Wisdom_of_Crowds

So if a movie is rated 2% and you liked it...then everyone else is an asshole. Just like when a Pixar movie comes out and it would be 100% if it wasn't for the one troll critic who hates everything.

I was a little disappointed with Ex Machina, but so much that I regretted buying the DVD. I'll watch it again. Enjoyable movie so long as you don't start thinking about the numerous plot holes, like how her bust shrinks from a DD to an A once she dons her 'outfit' :winkwink:
