First Missile Strike was attempt to kill Saddam.
 

CNN tv just had a guy on there that said that intelligence people are reporting to them that the cruise missile strike in Baghdad was an attempt to DECAPITATE Iraq's leadership before the war even begins. That some very good intelligence came in on where they believed Saddam Hussein and his top people were located, and they hit it with missiles and bombs. They said it was just too good an opportunity to let slip, even though there is no way of knowing yet if the intelligence was accurate.

Wouldn't that be fucking phenomenal if they got Saddam with the first shots fired?

That would be sweet! It would definitely save a lot of lives.

Saddam has at least 50 identical look-alikes (costmetic surgery etc), and the real Saddam likely isn't even located in Iraq at the moment. Probably in some bungalo in the States...

There's gonna be a lot of shit happening, and no one will know the truth...

40 cruise missles fired on one target? I'd say its safe to assume they had absolutely strong intel that he was in that location or someone damn high up the chain of command.

That's a $40 Million shot at someone. Don't think they would waste that much on a weak target.
