What do you to fight chargebacks?
Providing you have your own merchant number and not processing via CCBill, Epoch, etc.
We've been getting about 3 per months, transactions that we know the fu*ckers did themselves, and not only do we lose the sale but we have to pay $25 penalty to the bank per chargeback. Anyone doing something special to fight chargebacks? |
Sending you a message now.

Thank you Sly. Your solution sounds perfect!

Hi Czarina,
Are you processing with us? We have some built In tools and partnerships to help dig fraud and change backs. Please contact me to discuss. Thanks, Mitch |

We added verification steps to the process, developed some standard chargeback response forms, and badger the hell out of every single industry person about how chargebacks have become, in the consumers mind, a no hassle refund solution

Positive AVS, (gateway screenshot) matching CVV2, (gateway screenshot) IP address geolocation close to signup geolocation, IP log of customer activity on site matching signup IP address (proof of delivery) Link to your join page showing clear pricing disclosure, Link to your TOS showing refund policy and any other relevant information, You will get a high percentage of them overturned. HOWEVER if the customer comes back with more excuses and continues to deny the charge you will get a second chargeback and a second chargeback fee. |

I don't know how many transactions you do a month, but 3 doesn't sound too bad IMHO.
There are people who do collections for chargebacks, but I'm not sure with 3 a month it's really worth it for either party. |
