How to run multiple profiles on a forum at once?

Hi

I started a forum and to get it started am using lots of fake accounts that I will use to get the conversations going. How can I have 50 profiles all logged in at once from my computer.

I mean I can get 3 up if I open an instance in IE, chrome and firefox but is there any way I get do more than three sessions at once??

Thanks

this! What if I told you that 99.99% of GFY users are fake nicks and bots? I'd tell you how I know this but I'm just someone's alias and he doesn't want me telling you :2 cents:

Not sure if there's a better way, but you could just insert the comments into the database using phpmyadmin or something. Then you don't need to login to each account, just type in the text, start a thread etc.

Using proxy servers, I once fooled a troll into believing a hundred guests were online in a forum that had nothing but multiple accounts belonging to just me and a crazy Australian.

He gave up trolling the forum after dedicating two years of his life trying to embarrass us in front of all of our supposed readers and posters.

You could extend the session timeout value in the forum's software so the user's still appear logged in, when you login under a new alias.

For example if your forum shows "Who's Online" based on who has been active in the past 15 minutes, you could change that so the "Who's Online" shows all users who have been active in the past 60 minutes or 2 hours. Whatever you change the setting to.
