Well dude, judo is 130 years old and american footbal is 150 years old... soccer is maybe 500 years old. So I would say that a 4 years old sport is quite new. :)

I get what you're saying that it isn't a sport that has been cemented into the minds of the public yet due to its limited years, but when someone calls something new in this day and age, I think 1 year or less...maybe 2 years if I'm being generous.
